Predict NowSMIT B.Tech eligibility criteria comprise of all the conditions that candidates must fulfill in order to become eligible for the exam. The conditions could be related to minimum educational qualifications, age limit, domicile requirements, or a minimum pass percentage in the qualifying exam. Candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria of SMIT B.Tech 2018 are considered eligible to appear for the exam, whereas candidates not meeting the SMIT B.Tech 2021 are not allowed to appear for the entrance exam.
Entrance Exams
Candidates should have cleared any of the following examinations:
MAHE OET (MU OET) 2021
JEE Main 2021
SMIT B.Tech offline Test 2021
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination can also apply for the entrance exam.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should have passed their class 12 examination or equivalent exam with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Informatics Practices/Biotechnology/ Biology.
OR
Candidates should have a Diploma in any branch of engineering awarded by a State Board of Technical Education.
Candidate appearing in qualifying examination may also apply for the entrance examination.
Percentage of marks in the qualifying exams
Candidates belonging to General category must score at least 50% aggregate marks in their class 12with above mentioned subjects.
Candidates belonging to reserved category(SC/ST/OBC) should score at least 45% aggregate marks in their class 12 with above mentioned subjects.
OR
Candidates with Diploma require a minimum 50% aggregate marks for General category candidates and minimum 45% marks for reserved (SC/ ST/ OBC) candidates.
Note: Candidates from Bhutan and Nepal are also eligible to appear in SMIT B.Tech offline Test. If selected, the admission is given under General Category.
