UPSC 2025 Application Form

The UPSC CSE 2025 application form will be released on January 22, 2025. The deadline for application is February 11, 2025. The UPSC Civil Services Prelims exam 2025 is scheduled for May 25, 2025. Candidates qualifying for the UPSC Civil Services Main Exam 2025 are required to fill out the DAF I on the UPSC official website at upsc.gov.in

The commission will provide the Time Registration (OTR) facility with the help of which candidates will need to register on the official website just once, and the same registration will be applicable while applying for any exam conducted by UPSC. To apply for the Civil Services Examination 2025, candidates have to the official website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and proceed with filling in all the required credentials.

UPSC CSE 2025: Eligibility Criteria

The detailed UPSC Civil Services Eligibility Criteria 2025 to appear for the UPSC CSE Exam 2025 are as follows:

  • Candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree from any recognized University.
  • Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st August 2024 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1988 and not later than 1st August 2000.

How to Access UPSC Mains DAF 2025?

Step 1: Go to the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.

Step 2: Navigate through the ‘What’s new’ section of the home page to find the ‘UPSC Civil Services (Main) Examination DAF’ link.

Step 3: Click on the link that says ‘DAF – I: Civil Services (Main) Examination’ available on the home page.

Step 4: You will be redirected to a new page where you will have to log in to the account by entering your login credentials, i.e., the UPSC roll number and date of birth.

Step 5: Finally, the UPSC Mains DAF will open and you must complete each module of this form carefully by providing your educational information and other relevant details. Complete each of the 8 modules in the online UPSC Mains DAF: Personal Information, Educational Information, Parental Information, Employment Information, and upload documents before submitting the application form.

Step 6: After this, upload scanned copies of the relevant documents for the UPSC Mains DAF, such as the class 10 marksheet for proof of age, degree certificate, etc.

Step 7: Preview the UPSC Mains DAF I application form, click on 'Submit', and read the declaration carefully and click on ‘I agree’ for the final submission of UPSC Mains DAF.

Step 8: Download the confirmation page for the UPSC Mains DAF I application form and keep a hard copy of the same for future reference.

Important Instructions for UPSC Civil Services Application Process 2025

  •  Applicants are required to apply online on the UPSC official website.  

  • While filling the application form, the applicant should carefully decide his/her choice of center for the examination.  

  • Suitable provisions have been made in the online application for information regarding the use of scribes by the blind applicants and applicants with Locomotor Disability and Cerebral Palsy where dominant (writing) extremity is affected to the extent of slowing the performance of function (minimum of 40% impairment).

  • Applicants taking the Civil Services Preliminary examination must mention information such as details of centers for examination, optional subject to be selected for the examination, the medium of examination and compulsory Indian Language at the time of the filling up online application itself.

  • During the submission of the application form, applicants are not required to submit any certificate as proofs of their Age, Educational Qualifications, Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes /Other Backward Classes and Physically disabled etc. The document verification will be conducted at the time of the Main examination only.

UPSC Civil Services Application Fee 2025

  • Applicants (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay fee of INR 100/- either by remitting the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using Net Banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.  

  • Applicants who opt for 'Pay by Cash' mode should print the system generated pay-in-slip during part II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI branch on the next working day only.  

  • After payment, applicants must take out the print of their application form. 

  • Applicants will get registration confirmation by SMS or E-mail.

UPSC CSE preliminary exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 25, 2025. Students who have missed out on this year's application can stay updated with the coming important dates and timing of UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025. Once the application window is closed, students cannot apply for UPSC CSE exam by any means.
