UPSC IFS 2025 Application Form

The UPSC IFS 2025 Application Form for UPSC IFS Prelims 2025 is expected to be released on January 22, 2025, along with official notification. The last date to register for the exam is set on February 11, 2025, on their official website upsc.gov.in. Based on the latest schedule, the UPSC IFS 2025 prelims exam is slated to be held on May 25, 2025, while the mains are set to be held on November 16, 2025. Candidates during this period could solely amend their OTR profiles, which includes updating their Photograph/Signature. No alterations are permitted in the application form window, and once submitted, applications cannot be retracted. The UPSC is entrusted with conducting the UPSC exam for the Indian Forest Service (IFS). Candidates who qualify for the UPSC IFS Exam 2025 will get jobs for the post under the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change. All interested candidates can apply for the UPSC IFS 2025 post vacancies by filling out the UPSC examination form. A total of 150 vacancies will be filled out by UPSC IFS recruitment for various posts.

Steps to Apply for UPSC IFS 2025

The Union Public Service Commission released the notification for UPSC CSE 2025 recruitment on January 22, 2025. The online registration process for the UPSC CSE 2025 started on January 22, 2025, and will continue till February 11, 2025. Also, there are explicit instructions for completing the online application. It is advised that applicants just submit one application. Candidates can follow the steps given below to register for the UPSC CSE 2025 exam:

  • The application process for UPSC IFS is simple. Candidates can complete the online application by following the detailed steps. These steps help candidates to register for the exam.

Step-1

  • Candidates can visit the UPSC's official website and search for the link and register for UPSC Civil Services. Click on the “apply here” button.
  • In the first step, enter all the correct credentials, especially the contact details.
  • After filling up the form, candidates will be asked to verify the information and then finally submit it. Remember, once you have submitted the form, no changes can be made. After submission, a registration ID and password for the UPSC's website will be provided on your registered mail and mobile number. Save the registration ID and password to log in to the website later to download the admit card, result, etc.

Step-2

  • With your login ID, re-login and complete the second step. Fill up the form providing all your details. The second step includes all your personal details including category, educational background, and preference of the exam centre.
  • Candidates can select up to 3 exam centres.
  • Ensure the complete information provided by you is correct and true to your knowledge. All the confirmation should be made before submitting the form as it is unchangeable later.

Step-3

  • Further, you will be asked to upload your photo and signature, which should be in JPG or PNG format.
  • Ensure you upload a recent passport-size photograph.
  • Get a signature on white paper with blank ink, and the signature should not be in capital letters.

Step-4

  • In the final step, candidates will have to pay the fees.
  • The application fee is INR 100 for general category male candidates and OBC.
  • SC/ST/PWD/ex-servicemen and women are exempted from fee payment.
  • After successfully making the payment of fees, download a copy of the application form and save a print-out. It will be later useful in case there is any discrepancy with the admit card.

The candidates who qualify for the Mains exam will have to again fill out the Mains Exam. The application process is completely the same and available on the official website only

Given below are the details that are required during the UPSC IFS Application Process 2025. 

Filling of Personal Details:

Applicants have to fill in their Name, Parents' name, Nationality, Gender, Category, Date of Birth, Contact Address, Physical Condition, etc.

Educational Qualifications Details:

In this step, applicants have to enter their complete educational details such as 10th, 12th and Graduation marks.

Choice of Branch Preference:

While filling the application form, applicants have to provide their preferences for the Civil Services exam.

  • The signature image should be of 110 (height) x 140 (width) pixel in size.
