UPCET 2022 (UPSEE) Detailed Counselling Procedure
UPCET 2022 detailed counselling procedure will describe what the eligible candidates are required to do once the counselling process starts. The detailed counselling procedure of UPCET 2022 will consist of the following steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Online Registration
UPCET 2022 counselling procedure begins with qualified candidates registering themselves for the counselling process through the official UPCET website, i.e upcet.nta.nic.in
The candidates have to pay the online counselling fee (non-refundable) via any of the available online payment methods. The online counselling fee that the candidates have to pay is INR 1000.
For UPCET 2022 counselling process online registration, the candidates have to upload their certificates and documents related to their educational qualifications which will be verified by the Central Counselling Committee
After the verification of the documents is complete, the candidates will receive a confirmation text on their Registered Mobile Number (RMN)
After receiving the confirmation text, the eligible candidates will be able to proceed to the choice selection. The candidates are suggested to choose the maximum number of options to assure themselves of a seat in the UPCET 2022 Participating Colleges.
Step 2: Allotment of Seats (Round I)
Round I of the seat allotment process will be carried out on the basis of the choices entered by the candidates during the choice filling step and the marks secured by the candidates in the UPCET 2022 entrance examination
The result of the seat allotment process will be updated on the official website of UPCET
Candidates who successfully secure seats during the first round of the seat allotment process have to deposit the “Seat Acceptance Fee”
The candidates will be offered two options post submission of the “Seat Acceptance Fee”. The candidates can either opt for the “Freeze” option to accept the seat offered or can proceed with the “Float” option which means they are willing to wait for the subsequent round of the seat allotment process
Step 3: Allotment of Seats (Round II)
Those candidates will not be eligible for the second round of the seat allotment process who:
The following candidates will be deemed eligible for the second round of the seat allotment process:
Those who did not submit their counselling process registration fee. Such candidates can pay the registration fee for the counselling process, i.e INR 1000/- and register themselves for the second round of the seat allotment process
Who registered themselves for the counselling process but did not choose an option
Who opted for the “Float” option during the first round of the seat allotment process. The seats allocated to such candidates in the first round will remain intact. In case the candidates do not alter or modify the choices they made during the first round, the options chosen by them in the first round will prevail at the end of the second round
Who has not been allocated a seat in the first phase provided they have exercised their choice filling option during Step 1. Such candidates will also be able to modify their options. In case the candidates do not alter or modify the choices they made during the first round, the options chosen by them in the first round will prevail at the end of the second round
The vacant seats after the first seat allotment round will be distributed to the candidates who fall under the categories mentioned above
Following the conclusion of the seat allotment second round, the number of vacant seats will be updated on the official website
Step 4: Post Seat Allotment Process (Round II)
Candidates going for the “Float” option will be eligible for higher ranking options in the subsequent round
Candidates who haven’t been allocated seats will get seats in the subsequent round
New candidates who have been allocated seats have to pay the seat confirmation fee via the available online modes. The confirmation of the seats will only be granted after the receipt of the confirmation fee for the seats
The candidates will also be given an option of withdrawing from the seat allotment process which means the candidate is not satisfied with the seat allocated to him/her and does not want to participate in the upcoming seat allotment process
A minimal amount will be deducted from the seat confirmation fee paid by the candidates and the rest will be refunded back to them
Step 5: Allotment of Seats (Round (III)
Those candidates will not be eligible for the third round of the seat allotment process who:
Did not submit the “Seat Acceptance Fee” after the first or second round of the seat allotment process
Submitted their documents which were found to be incorrect
The following candidates will be deemed eligible for the second round of the seat allotment process:
Those who did not submit their counselling process registration fee. Such candidates can pay the registration fee for the counselling process, i.e INR 1000/- and register themselves for the third round of the seat allotment process
Who registered themselves for the counselling process but did not choose an option
Who opted for the “Float” option during the first or second round of the seat allotment process. The seats allocated to such candidates in the first/second round will remain intact. In case the candidates do not alter or modify the choices they made during the previous rounds, the options chosen by them in the previous rounds will prevail at the end of the third round
Who has not been allocated a seat in the previous phases provided they have exercised their choice filling option during Step 1. Such candidates will also be able to modify their options. In case the candidates do not alter or modify the choices they made during the previous rounds, the options chosen by them in the previous rounds will prevail at the end of the third round
