Detailed Counselling Process for AIIMS MBBS 2019

All the eligible candidates will be invited to participate in the AIIMS MBBS 2019 Counselling process for allocation of seats. The concerned authorities will release a list of all those qualified candidates who have registered for the AIIMS MBBS 2019 counselling process online which will also contain the names of those candidates who have not registered for the same. The list, however, will not include the foreign nationals candidates.

All those candidates who are eligible to participate in the Ist round of the AIIMS MBBS 2019 counselling process must be present at their respective venues. Absentees will not be eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds of the AIIMS MBBS 2019 counselling procedure. However, they can participate in the open round of AIIMS MBBS 2019 counselling process.

In order to confirm their admission, the shortlisted candidates have to visit the online AIIMS MBBS 2019 counselling portal within the stipulated time period, failing to do so will deem the candidates ineligible to participate in the following counselling rounds and the allocated seats will be forfeited.

After a candidate is allotted a seat, he/she will be provided with four options and the candidate must choose from the available options and complete the formalities otherwise, the seat allocated will be forfeited which will render the candidate ineligible to participate in the following AIIMS MBBS 2019 counselling rounds.

The four options which the candidates will be presented with after being allotted a seat has been explained below in details.

Option 1: The candidate has accepted the seat allotted to him/her and wants to withdraw from further counselling rounds.

In such a scenario, the candidate has to visit the AIIMS allotted to him/her along with the offer letter which can be downloaded from www.aiimsexams.org. The candidate will be required to produce all the original certificates or to submit a DD of INR 1 lakh in the name of the allotted AIIMS in addition to copies of the certificates. The Institute will refund the DD as and when the candidate submits all the original certificates. It is mandatory for the candidate to produce and submit all the original certificates within 5 days of taking admission, failing to do so will lead to the cancellation of admission. In such a case, the deposited amount will also not be refunded back to the candidates and he/she cannot participate in subsequent rounds of the AIIMS MBBS 2019 counselling process.

Note:Only those candidates who are satisfied with their allotted seats should choose this option as they will not be allowed to take part in the further counselling rounds.

Option 2: If a candidate decides to accept the seat offered to him/her yet want to participate in the next counselling round.

The most important part of this option is the candidates must be eligible for the next AIIMS MBBS 2019 counselling round.

In this case, the candidate has to visit the AIIMS allotted to him/her along with the offer letter which can be downloaded from www.aiimsexams.org. The candidate will be required to produce all the original certificates or to submit a DD of INR 1 lakh in the name of the allotted AIIMS in addition to copies of the certificates. The Institute will refund the DD as and when the candidate submits all the original certificates during any counselling round. The amount will not be refunded if the candidate does not accept a seat at the end of all the counselling rounds.

The candidate has to report to the Institute allotted to him/her otherwise it will lead to the cancellation of his/her admission and cannot participate in the following rounds of the counselling procedure.

Option 3: If a candidate decides to decline the seat offered and want to participate in the next counselling round

In this case, the seat which was allotted to the candidate earlier will be vacated and the candidate cannot claim the vacated seat ever.

Under this option, the candidate have to download the offer letter from www.aiimsexams.org and must report to any of the nine AIIMS (AIIMS Bhubaneshwar, Bhopal, New Delhi, Jodhpur, Mangalagiri {Guntur}, Raipur, Nagpur, Patna and Rishikesh) to submit the original certificates or deposit a DD of INR 1 lakh along with the photocopies of the certificates.

Only those candidates who are eligible for the next round of counselling process will be considered provided they have submitted their original certificates or deposited a DD of INR 1 lakh along with the photocopies of the certificates.

The eligibility of the candidate will be verified through the certificates submitted by him/her.

Option 4:If a candidate decides to decline the seat offered and wants to withdraw from the further counselling rounds

In this case, the seat that was allotted to the candidate earlier will be vacated and under no circumstances, the candidate will be able to take part in the further counselling rounds.

Note: If a candidate has been allotted a seat and he/she does not respond in any of the above-mentioned manners, his/her seat will be vacated and the candidate will also not be able to take part in the subsequent AIIMS MBBS 2019 Counselling/Seat Allocation rounds.
