Haryana LEET Eligibility Criteria 2021

The Haryana LEET Exam is conducted every year for admission in the 2nd or 3rd-year B.Tech course in any of the available colleges in the state of Haryana. Candidates are recommended to check the Haryana LEET entrance exam eligibility criteria before proceeding to fill the application form. The Haryana LEET Exam eligibility criteria provide details about all the academic as well as age requirement which the candidate has to fill in order to appear for the entrance exam. Although the eligibility criteria don’t change every yet, yet candidates are advised to visit the official website of Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES), http://www.hstes.org.in/. 

Once the candidate has satisfied all the requirement mentioned in the Haryana LEET Exam, then only he or she will be allowed to appear for the Haryana LEET entrance exam.  Apart from the common requirements, Kashmiri migrants will have to submit the original certificate of their migration duly signed by the Relief Commissioner or by the competent authority. After satisfying all the eligibility criteria, candidates may proceed to the application process. They may refer to the Haryana LEET application process section of our website. Haryana LEET Eligibility Requirements

All the admission requirements issued by Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) are stated below. 

  • Candidates must have scored at least 45% marks(40% in case of candidate belonging to any of the reserved categories) in Diploma in Engg./ Technology of a duration of three years or more from Haryana State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent.

  • Candidates must have cleared B.Sc degree from any recognized University as defined by UGC, with a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to any of the reserved categories) and passed XII standard with mathematics as one of the subjects. In this case, candidates need to clear all the subjects of engineering Drawing/ Engineering Graphics and Engineering Mechanics of the 1st year engineering programs along with the second year subjects. Seat allocation for this category will be done only after all the seat for the candidates holding diploma are filled.

  • Candidates who have cleared the D.Voc stream in the same stream or allied.

Note: 

  • In the above cases, a suitable bridge Courses, if required such as in Mathematics may be conducted. 

  • Candidates belonging to the Kashmiri Migrants (KM) category will receive the relaxation in cutoff percentage up to 10% subject to the minimum eligibility requirement. 

  • Candidates who hold a diploma in Architecture are also eligible for admission into the second year of B.Tech/ B.E of Civil Engineering only.

Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) provides reservation to the reserved categories and some other categories as mentioned below.

In case the quota reserved for physically disabled persons remains unused due to a lack of availability for an appropriate category of disabled candidates, it may be offered to Ex-Service Men and their offices (1 per cent) and to Freedom Fighters (1 per cent).

A further 3 per cent horizontal reservation is also made to the Ex-Services / Freedom Fighters and their dependents by providing 1 per cent of the general category, 1 per cent of the Scheduled Castes and 1 per cent of the Backward Classes category for admission to the various educational institutions and government institutes available in Haryana.

After satisfying the eligibility criteria, candidates may proceed to fill the application form of Haryana LEET Exam and submit it before the deadline. Seats will only be allocated to the candidate if he clears all the rounds successfully.
