Check out the detailed analysis of MH CET Law 2024 for 5-Year LLB for Slot 1:

Logical and Analytical Reasoning: 2 questions were asked each on Blood Relations, Statement and Conclusions, Reason and Assertion, Number Series, and Continue Pattern Series. Apart from that, the other main topics from which problems were asked included Alphabetical Order, Alpha Numerical, Statement and Assumptions Syllogism and Coding and Decoding, Venn Diagram etc. Surprisingly, compared to previous years, there was only 1 question on Puzzles.

Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning: The major topics from which questions for this section were asked were Contract, Torts, Vicarious Liability etc.

General Knowledge with Current Affairs: This segment had questions from History, Statutory Body, Non-Governance, High Court, ICJ, Right to Education, Reservations for Women in Panchayat, Right to Vote, Article 19 (A) I etc.

Mathematical Aptitude: Questions were based on Time and speed, Profit and Loss etc.

English: There were 2 passages in this part. Questions were asked on Synonyms, Antonyms, Fill-in-the-blanks, Error finding, Vocabulary etc.

  • The questions for Slot 1 were asked from all the four sections.
  • In the Logical and Analytical Reasoning segment, as per the initial review received, Coding Decoding had 5 questions, Critical Reasoning had 6, Analogy had 4 questions, Number series had 4 questions, Alphabet test and Blood Relations had 1 each.
  • Puzzle based questions were not found in Slot 1 paper, while 3 questions from a new style of queries known as passive-based reasoning were asked.
  • The questions from the Reasoning segment covered almost all the basic topics studied.
  • From English, students had to answer 15 reading comprehension based questions.
  • Analogy, Synonyms, Antonyms, Fill in the blanks, One-word substitution, Spelling corrections were covered in the English Section questions.
  • Fill in the blanks with single space had around 8 questions in the English section.
  • Static GK had 37 questions and 3 were asked from Current Affairs.

  • There were no questions on reading comprehension in the English section, which is generally considered as time-consuming by the students.
  • In the English segment, word meaning had 15 queries, 3 on active passive, 3 on idiom, 4 about fill in the blanks, 1 on error spotting, 1 on replacing the word, 3 on correct construction, and 1 on synonyms.
  • Legal section had 10 questions on Principle sets, 1 on assertion and reason, 29 on Legal Reasoning and was fairly easy to moderate as per the aspirants.
  • There were 28 Static GK questions and 2 related to Current Affairs and in the General Knowledge and Current Affairs section. Per most of the candidates this section was the easiest.
  • The Logical and Analytical Reasoning section had 2 figure-based queries, 1 on syllogism, 6 on statement conclusion, 2 sets on puzzles, 1 on calendar, 1 on time and work, 3 on coding decoding, 2 on odd one out, 1 on blood relations, 6 on number series, 2 on order and 6 miscellaneous.

    • When compared to other sections, the English Language section was easy. There was a Reading Comprehension passage with about ten questions.
    • The ten questions were all about synonyms and antonyms, and comprehension. There were queries on spotting errors, filling in the blanks, and para-jumbles.
    • The queries were of a low difficulty level. A well-prepared candidate can achieve a score of at least 28.

    MH CET Law 2020 Legal Aptitude Section

    • Applicants found the MH CET Law 2020 Legal Aptitude section to be of moderate difficulty and lengthy.
    • Aspirants who practiced answering principle-based questions would have felt more comfortable taking the section.
    • Questions were based on Contracts, Crimes, Torts, and Family Law-related topics.
    • Except for the constitution, nearly all legal aptitude topics were covered.
