MH CET Law 2024 Paper Analysis (Out)

MH CET Law 2024 paper analysis for shifts 1 and 2 are out. MH CET Law 2024 was held today, May 30, 2024, from 9 AM to 11 AM. Overall the paper was easy to moderate as per the feedback from the candidates. 

The questions were asked from 5 sections - Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning, General Knowledge with Current Affairs, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, English, and Mathematical Aptitude. Overall candidates had to attempt 150 questions of 1 mark each.

From the question paper analysis, aspirants will get to know the difficulty level of the exam, section-wise analysis, the major topics from which questions were asked, and the expected cutoff. Please note that the paper analysis is done based on feedback from experts and the candidates who take the test. Logical and Analytical Reasoning: 2 questions were asked each on Blood Relations, Statement and Conclusions, Reason and Assertion, Number Series, and Continue Pattern Series. Apart from that, the other main topics from which problems were asked included Alphabetical Order, Alpha Numerical, Statement and Assumptions Syllogism and Coding and Decoding, Venn Diagram etc. Surprisingly, compared to previous years, there was only 1 question on Puzzles.

Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning: The major topics from which questions for this section were asked were Contract, Torts, Vicarious Liability etc.

General Knowledge with Current Affairs: This segment had questions from History, Statutory Body, Non-Governance, High Court, ICJ, Right to Education, Reservations for Women in Panchayat, Right to Vote, Article 19 (A) I etc.

Mathematical Aptitude: Questions were based on Time and speed, Profit and Loss etc.

English: There were 2 passages in this part. Questions were asked on Synonyms, Antonyms, Fill-in-the-blanks, Error finding, Vocabulary etc.

General Knowledge with Current Affairs: Some topics from which questions were asked in this section were e-courts, women Governor, awards, authors, rivers, History, Right to Vote, Indian rulers, etc. 

Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning: Constitution, Fundamental Rights, Election Commission, Torts, Principle Facts etc were some of the topics from which questions were asked in this part.

MH CET Law 2024 5-Year LLB Expected Cut Offs

During counselling and seat allocation, the CET Cell will announce the MH CET law cut-off. The authorities will announce the MH CET Law cutoff for both the 3-year and 5-year LLB. The MH CET law 2024 cut-off will be determined by several variables, which are listed below.

• The number of candidates who took the exam
• The number of seats available at law schools
• Reservation policy under MH CET law
• Candidate category
• Examination marks and rank attained by the candidate
• Students' preferences for colleges

Following the announcement of the results, the participating institutes will disclose the MH CET Law Cutoff 2024. Along with the merit list, students will receive the category-specific cut-offs for each participating institute.

• From English, students had to answer 15 reading comprehension based questions.
• Analogy, Synonyms, Antonyms, Fill in the blanks, One-word substitution, Spelling corrections were covered in the English Section questions.
• Fill in the blanks with single space had around 8 questions in the English section.
• Static GK had 37 questions and 3 were asked from Current Affairs.

• Legal section had 10 questions on Principle sets, 1 on assertion and reason, 29 on Legal Reasoning and was fairly easy to moderate as per the aspirants.
• There were 28 Static GK questions and 2 related to Current Affairs and in the General Knowledge and Current Affairs section. Per most of the candidates this section was the easiest.
• The Logical and Analytical Reasoning section had 2 figure-based queries, 1 on syllogism, 6 on statement conclusion, 2 sets on puzzles, 1 on calendar, 1 on time and work, 3 on coding decoding, 2 on odd one out, 1 on blood relations, 6 on number series, 2 on order and 6 miscellaneous.
• The Mathematical Aptitude segment was simple and doable.

The section of General Knowledge and Current Affairs in MH CET Law 2021 was moderate and questions were asked from both static GK and current affairs.

Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning Section

• Analogies and Arguments topics had two questions.
• Four questions were based on number sequences.
• One Venn Diagram was provided, and four questions were asked about it.
• Other important topics included coding-decoding, syllogisms, and conclusions.

MH CET Law 2020 Paper Analysis

This analysis is based on MH CET Law 5-year LLB -

• A total of 120 minutes were given for the five components of the paper.
• MH CET Law 2020 had an easy to moderate difficulty level. According to the applicants who took the MH CET Law 2020 exam, it was a tricky challenge.
• According to the concerned applicants, the ideal score was 120+, and an acceptable score was about 105+.
