MH CET Law 2024 Counselling: Centralised Admission Process (CAP Round I)

The main stages of CAP Round I are as follows -
Candidate Registration and Document Submission
Candidates who achieved a non-zero score in the MH CET Law exam can participate in the Centralised Admission Process by registering for Round I. Once the counselling process commences, the applicants have to complete the candidate registration process as per the dates.
They have to upload the documents asked by the admission authorities such as mark sheets and certificates of their education from 10th standard till the last qualifying examination, the Domicile Certificate, Birth Certificate, Caste Certificate etc.
E-Scrutiny of Documents
The e-verification team will complete the online scrutiny of the documents uploaded by the candidates while registering.
Release of Merit List
After completion of the e-verification of the certificates, the admission cell will issue the provisional merit list category-wise, such for MS, OMS, or Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Migrant Candidates etc. The candidates on the alphabetical merit list can submit grievances if any related to the alphabetical merit list within the prescribed time limit. Once the concerns are addressed, the final merit list will be published.
College Option Form Filling
Candidates who are on the final merit list of Round I will be eligible for college option form filling. During college option form filling, aspirants can submit their college preferences. The admission committee will consider these web choices while announcing the seat allocation.
The college choices submitted during Round I will be applicable for Round I and Round II seat allocation. Candidates are advised to fill in the most number of college choices for Round I and II.
Release of Seat Allotment
Candidates are allotted seats based on their merit, the college options filled, and the vacancies available. Seat allotted as per the first option of the order of preference will be counted as the final allotment. Aspirants can check the allotment on the CAP portal. They have to download the provisional seat allotment letter from the candidate login.
Candidate Reporting and Seat Acceptance
Applicants who are provisionally allotted seats during the CAP Round I and are satisfied with the allocation have to report to the allocated institute for document verification and other formalities of the admission process.
After seat allotment, aspirants who are contented with the allotment have to pay the Seat Acceptance fee of Rs 1000 (non-refundable) via the Candidate Login. The seat will be approved by the Reporting Centre after the officials verify the original certificates and papers of the candidates ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria.
The Reporting Centre shall furnish the online receipt of fee acceptance. Those candidates who fail to report in person for seat acceptance will be treated as if they have not accepted the offer of allotment.
