OJEE Seat Allotment 2024

The OJEE counselling 2024 for BTech admission has been conducted from July 8 to 16, 2024. OJEE MTech Mock seat allotment for Round 1 based on choices filled by candidates will be released today on July 20, 2024. OJEE seat allotment result for round 1 will be declared on July 23, 2024. OJEE 2024 result has been released on June 3, 2024. Candidates who have qualified the OJEE exam 2024 or have a valid rank in JEE Main, GPAT, GATE, CAT, MAT, XAT, NIMCET, and ATMA is eligible to participate in the OJEE counselling 2024 process.

The OJEE 2024 seat allotment will be done in 3 rounds. Candidates will be given seats depending on the OJEE 2024 results and the options they select in the application form. The authorities will conduct two separate provisional seat allotments for JEE Main qualified candidates. After the seat allotment of OJEE 2024 is done, aspirants must download the provisional allotment letter and submit it to the designated institute for document verification and confirm their seat allotment. Candidates will be allotted seats in various rounds as per their OJEE 2024 ranks, category, and eligibility. Candidates who will pass the OJEE 2024 or have a valid rank in JEE Main, GATE, GPAT, XAT,  CAT, MAT, NIMCET, and ATMA will be eligible to participate in the counselling and seat allotment.

How to Check the OJEE 2024 Seat Allotment?

 Follow the steps given below to check the OJEE seat allotment 2024.

• Visit the official website of the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board.

• Then click on the OJEE 2024 seat allotment link will be available on the homepage.

• The next step is to enter certain personal credentials such as application number and password.

• This step will let the students log in and check the seat allotment.

• Students are also required to take a printout of the seat allotment file.

Freeze, Float and Slide After OJEE 2024 Seat Allotment

The detailed procedure of OJEE seat allotment is mentioned below in this section. 

• Freeze: With the release of the OJEE Round 1 Seat Allotment result, candidates get to know whether or not they have been allotted a college and a course. If they find themselves satisfied with the result and allocation, they may proceed with their document verification at nodal centers. This process is also called freezing their option. 

• Float: If candidates are happy with their allotted college but are looking for a different or better discipline to study, they choose the float option.  

• Slide: If candidates want to go ahead with accepting their seats but are looking for a better college and course option, they opt for the slide option. 

• Those who are looking for better options after the Round 1 seat allotment can participate in the Round 2 seat allotment. The same options are provided in this round as well. 

• Finally, the rest of the seats that remained vacant after the first two rounds are filled through the final seat allotment round.

OJEE 2024 Temporary Seat Allotment

Odisha Joint Entrance Engineering Board will release an OJEE 2024 mock seat allotment before the final seat allotment result. During mock seat allotment seats are assigned to candidates based on their best-fitting rank, preference, and category/reservation. The candidate will be notified of the temporary seat position by SMS on the cellphone number provided upon registration. The temporary seat allotment result will be posted on the OJEE website, ojee.nic.in, on the appointed day and time. Candidates should not report to their assigned institution based on a temporary seat allocation, as this is not the final allocation of the seat.

During the auto upgrade, the temporary seat allotment position may remain the same, or the applicant can be upgraded to the top choice they filled in the choice filling. As a result, the applicant must exercise caution when picking and completing the options. Candidates must input their most preferred option at the top in the OJEE choice filling 2024. 

Withdrawal of OJEE Seats

Candidates can withdraw their seats if they wish to from the OJEE counselling 2024, regardless of temporary seat allotment. To withdraw seats, candidates must report to the Nodal Center where they validate documents within the time frame indicated. The university registration cost will be returned to the candidate's account information provided during the withdrawal procedure.

OJEE 2024 Final Seat Allotment

Following the release of the mock seat allotment, the authorities will publish the OJEE 2024 final seat allotment result. The final seat allotment result will be available at the OJEE website, ojee.nic.in. Candidates should download the final seat allotment letter after reviewing the final seat allotment list from OJEE 2024. They must then report to the designated institute with their final seat assignment letter and fee deposit form. If a candidate fails to report to the designated institute during the OJEE Seat Allotment, the university registration cost of INR 5000 will not be returned.

How to Withdraw OJEE 2024 Seat?

If candidates want to withdraw from the seat allotted to them during OJEE seat allotment process, they can follow the steps below to do so:

• Candidates will have to report to the nodal centres within the stipulated time

• The withdrawal window usually remains open for one or two days, so it's important that candidates don't miss the deadline

• Candidates will have to fill in an application form providing details about their bank account in which they need the registration fee to be refunded

• Once the request has been approved, the authorities refund their university registration fee 

Transfer of OJEE Seats

Transferring vacant seats from one category to another is only permitted when that category has vacant seats. If certain SC says remain unoccupied after the OJEE seat allotment, those seats will be changed to general category seats. Similarly, if the ST reserved category is not filled due to a lack of ST candidates, then unfilled seats will be given to general category candidates. Seats reserved under all other categories, such as PC, GC, Ex-Servicemen, and so on, shall be filled by general category applicants if they are not filled from the reserved category, except for the TFW category. If there are any changes done in the OJEE reservation criteria or the proportion of reserved seats it will be announced on the official website.
