The PTE Academic is conducted by Pearson VUE at an international level for admission in universities and colleges in Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, Singapore, Germany, etc. The popular colleges that accept PTE Academic scorecard are Yale University, Colorado State University, Oxford University, London School of Business, Mcmaster University, London School of Business and Finance, Toronto etc. 

The test is conducted throughout the year at various centres across India and the world. In India, the test is organised in the cities of Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Chandigarh, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi/New Delhi, Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, Jalandhar and more. The conducting offers two ways to apply or register for the test — online or through phone/chat. 

There is no limit to the number of times one can take the test. Hence, one may choose to retake the test as many times as they want. COVID-19 Update:

The availability of testing for Indian candidates has been reduced and also the number of test-takers in each session. The test centre administrators are following all the guidelines and restrictions to ensure the safety of the test takers and the administrators.

Any candidate who is unwell and shows any COVID 19 symptoms like fever or breathing problems must refrain themselves from taking the test. They must reschedule or cancel the test. 

Candidates taking tests at various centres of India must show the updated Arogya Setu App at the test centre. Those whose app will show no risk will be allowed to enter the test centre.

Step-By-Step Registration Process for PTE Academic

In order to book your PTE Academic test, you will need to follow the step given below:

• Go to the official website of PTE Academic or the direct link given above.

• Create a new Pearson account if you have not already registered or

• Click ‘Sign in’ & enter your details by using your username and password.

• Once you have successfully logged in, click on ‘My PTE’.

• Provide answers to all the required questions then click ‘Next’.

• Select your desired location and click ‘Next’. Search for available dates and times.

• Once you have confirmed your location, date & time you will be asked to review your booking information and proceed to checkout.

• Confirm all the details and make full payment to secure your booking. It is to be noted that the payment should be made in the currency specified for India.

• Once you have completed your booking you will receive an email confirmation. The email will contain details on test centre location, directions of how to get there and a few points to remember on the test day.

• In both cases, ensure you have read the ID policy on the following page www.pearsonpte.com/acceptable-id/ and that your ID is valid at the time of registration and on the day of the test.

Note: If you do not produce the required ID on test day you will not be allowed into the test room and will lose your test fee.

Other Methods to Apply for PTE Academic

Apart from the online mode, one may also book a test by phone through Pearson VUE’s call centres. One shall contact the customer service in India. After successful booking, one should get a confirmation email within two working days. 

PTE Academic 2020 Schedule

There is no specific schedule for PTE Academic as the test is available throughout a given year. Interested applicants only need to select the time and centre of their convenience. It is advised that candidates check the availability of dates to ensure availability of slots on their chosen date. 

Retaking PTE Academic 2020

Pearson VUE gives full liberty to candidates to retake the test in case you are disappointed with the current score. In fact, you may take the test as many times as you want. The retake policy is given below:

• You can book your next test as soon as the results from your last test are available.

• You can book a test date 5 days after your previous attempt.

• You can only book one test at a time.

• A new appointment can be booked up to 6 months in advance.

• You can take the test as many times as you wish.

How to Reschedule or Cancel PTE Academic

There are two ways to reschedule or cancel your slot for  PTE Academic:

In online mode:

• Sign in to your account with your username and password.

• Once you have successfully logged in click on ‘Reschedule’ or ‘Cancel’ on the appointment information on your homepage.

• You will receive an email confirming the change to your test booking.

• We do not resend booking, rescheduling and cancellation email notifications anymore as it is visible under the test taker’s account. We can only resend payment confirmation emails by visiting your account under Activity and click on View Receipts. We can also resend these confirmation emails via Admin Console under Activity on View Receipts.

In offline mode:

Through phone/chat: 00080 0440 2020. (Operating hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm local time; closed on local holidays).

Note: There are timelines and fees applicable to these changes. If you decide not to take the PTE Academic test after making your booking online, you have up to 14 full calendar days before your test date to claim a full refund. The cancellation and reschedule policy does not include your test date. You can reschedule or cancel the test from your profile online or call our customer service team.

PTE Academic 2020 Application Fee and Methods of Payment

The PTE Academic application fee for Indian candidates is INR 13, 300. Below given are the modes of payment for the test:
