Numerous colleges take part in the WB ANM and GNM exam. WB ANM participating colleges include some of the top colleges like the MCH Barasat, Murshidabad Govt. The WB GNM participating institutes include Novena School of Nursing, S B School of Nursing, Peerless Institute of Nursing and so on. The colleges that take part in the WB ANM and GNM exam select students based on their performance in the examination. The colleges take part in a counselling procedure, and based on students' performance in the interview, the final admission is granted. The admissions are merit-based and are also conducted based on seat availability in the college. 

There are 13 ANM and 123 GNM colleges that take part in the WB ANM & GNM exam. Every WB ANM & GNM college has specific eligibility criteria based on which students are shortlisted for the examinations. Students must make sure that they meet the institute-specific eligibility criteria to gain admission to the WB ANM participating colleges in 2025. There are a total of 252 colleges that take part in the WB ANM & GNM examinations. Further, the college fees vary from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 per month. Students must be a minimum of 17 years old to qualify for admission into those colleges. 

WB ANM and GNM counselling process is conducted by the health and welfare department of West Bengal. WB ANM and GNM counselling is conducted in three rounds offline at the counselling centres. Students must be a minimum of 17 years of age to qualify for the admissions and a maximum of 35 years of age, respectively. Students must have secured at least 40% marks in the examination from a recognised board. Students wanting to appear in the WB ANM and GNM counselling process must be permanent citizens of West Bengal. Students who meet the WB ANM and GNM cutoff criteria will be able to secure their names on the merit list. Students whose names appear in the WB ANM and GNM merit list will be called for the counselling process by the exam authorities.
