TJEE Eligibility Criteria 2025: The Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examinations (TBJEE) will release the TJEE 2025 eligibility criteria along with the information brochure on the official website. Before filling out the application form, applicants should check the Tripura JEE eligibility criteria for 2025. Candidates taking the Tripura JEE exam must meet specific prerequisites outlined in the TJEE eligibility criteria 2025. The eligibility criteria for Tripura JEE 2025 include nationality, residence, educational history, and other factors. The applicants who are children of central/state government employees are also eligible for the TJEE examination.

The Tripura Joint Entrance Examination is administered by the Tripura Board of Entrance Examination as a state-level exam. The TJEE exam 2025 will be used to identify qualified applicants for admission to different engineering, agriculture, medical, and other professional courses.

Latest Updates

The TJEE admit card was released on April 12, 2025, and candidates can download their admit card by logging into their registered accounts using their email ID and password. The TJEE exam 2025 will be conducted on April 23, 2025, for admission to Engineering, Agriculture, Fisheries, Veterinary, and Paramedical courses. Earlier,  the TJEE application window was closed on March 9, 2025. 

Detailed TJEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

(a) The candidate must possess Indian citizenship. 
(b) The candidate needs to be a permanent resident of Tripura, and either the candidate or one of their parents must have lived in Tripura continuously for at least 10 years immediately before applying to take the Joint Entrance Examination 2019. A Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC), issued by the relevant authority for the candidate or their parent, must be provided during counselling. 
(c) The candidate must have completed, be currently pursuing, or plan to take the Higher Secondary Examination of the Tripura Board of Secondary Education / Central Board of Secondary Education or an equivalent exam in the same year as the Joint Entrance Examination, covering the subjects in which they wish to participate. 
(d) Children of All India Services Officers born in the Manipur-Tripura cadre, along with children of State Government employees stationed outside Tripura, are eligible to take the examination regardless of their prior residence in Tripura. 
(e) If a candidate is not a permanent resident of Tripura but has a parent serving as an officer on deputation to the Government of Tripura or as a Central Government officer working in Tripura for at least 3 (three) continuous years and has completed the Higher Secondary Examination from an institution in Tripura, they can appear for the examination. 
(f) For the children of Ex-Servicemen, either the candidate or their parents must have lived in Tripura without interruption for a minimum of 5 years before the application date for the Tripura Joint Entrance Examination, and the candidate must have either passed or intended to take the H.S. (+2) Examination or an equivalent in the year of the Joint Entrance Examination from any legally recognized institution in India, covering the subjects they wish to pursue. Additionally, children of serving defence personnel (Army / Navy / Air Force) from Tripura are allowed to take the Joint Entrance Examination, provided they have lived in Tripura continuously for not less than 5 years before their application and must have completed or be pursuing the H.S. (+2) Examination or an equivalent from any institution in Tripura in the subjects they wish to study. 
(g) A candidate who has previously been awarded a seat, whether inside or outside the State, based on the results of the Tripura Joint Entrance Examination, will not be permitted to appear for the examination this year or in subsequent years unless they have formally surrendered the assigned seat in writing within the designated timeframe to the appropriate authority. If any modifications or changes occur after this notification is issued, they will be communicated following the established procedure.

Tripura JEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

To appear for the Tripura JEE exam, candidates have to meet the citizenship eligibility criteria. Candidates failing to meet the Nationality/Citizenship eligibility criteria will not be eligible to fill out the application form. Check the Tripura JEE Nationality eligibility criteria below: 

• Applicant should be a citizen of India and a Permanent Resident of Tripura state.

• Permanent resident applicants or their parents residing in Tripura for the past 10 years immediately before the date of the Tripura JEE 2025 application are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.

• The candidate/mother/father must be holding a Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC) issued by an appropriate authority.

Tripura JEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualifications

The educational eligibility criteria are also applicable for the Tripura JEE exam. Check the TJEE 2025 educational eligibility criteria below:

• Applicants should have cleared/ appearing in/ due to appear in Class 12 or equivalent level of the examination with the minimum required marks.

• She/ he must have studied the subjects that are relevant to the prospective course. 

TJEE Eligibility Criteria 2025: Additional Requirements

Along with nationality and educational qualifications eligibility, candidates have to fulfill additional Tripura JEE eligibility criteria.Check the JEE Additional Eligibility criteria below:

• Applicants who are children of All India Services Officers born in Manipur - Tripura Cadre and applicants who are children of the Employees of the State Government posted outside Tripura are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.

• As per TJEE eligibility criteria 2025, applicants who are children of the state and the central government employees are also eligible to apply.  

Tripura JEE 2025 Reservation Criteria

The reservation policy is applicable for the Tripura JEE exam. The reservations in the exam are provided to the candidates according to the Government of India. Check the Tripura JEE reservation policy below:

• Reservation of seats for SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities (PwD)/ Wards of Ex-servicemen (ESM) candidates shall be made in accordance with the State Government's Reservation Act, as amended from time to time.
• Certificate(s) obtained by the competent authorities (Directorate of Sainik Welfare for ESM applicants and District Disabilities Rehabilitation Centres for PwD candidates) must be uploaded by the candidate during the application process.
• More information about the number of available seats and the counselling process will be made available later.
• Seats are reserved in the examination for SC / ST / Persons with Disabilities (PwD)/ Wards of Ex-serviceman (ESM) candidates as per the Reservation Act of the State Government. 
• To avail this benefit, an eligible candidate has to present the relevant document issued by an appropriate authority. 

Tripura JEE 2025 Application Form Eligibility

Tripura Board will release the TJEE application form 2025 on the official website. Before applying for the exam, candidates must confirm that they meet the TJEE eligibility criteria 2025. Eligible applicants must go to the official website and fill the Tripura JEE application form 2025 after the release. Candidates must provide several personal, academic, and communication facts when filling out the TJEE 2025 application form. Candidates must complete the application form before the prescribed deadline, as no application forms will be accepted beyond that date. A print out of the application form must be taken for future references.
