AILET 2025 Seat Allotment Detailed Process

The AILET 2024 seat allotment program commences with the publication of the merit list. The AILET seat allocation procedure is described in detail below.

  • Publication of the merit list
  • Invitation list distribution
  • AILET 2024 counselling
  • Seat allotment will be assigned in multiple rounds.

Release of Merit List

At the time of the results, the AILET merit list for both UG and PG courses will be made available. The merit list informs candidates of their All India rank, including category rank, which determines whether or not the individual will receive a seat through AILET seat allotment.

AILET seat allotment is based on the applicant's rank in the merit list and their college selection as specified during AILET 2024 registration.

AILET Invite List

The names and admit card numbers of candidates who are nominated for counselling and seat allotment will be published in the AILET 2024 invite list.

AILET counselling Process

Candidates whose names appear on the invite list will get AILET 2024 counselling call letters, which can be downloaded by visiting the AILET 2024 official website. Candidates must pay a registration cost for counselling, which will be adjusted with the semester fees at the assigned college.

Candidates must submit the documentation requested by the universities during AILET 2024 counselling. If online counselling is available, candidates must submit their scanned papers through the AILET 2024 login portal; otherwise, they must go to the counselling venue.

  • The candidates are required to upload self-attested documents which have been mentioned by NLU - Delhi.
  • The candidates must check into the official portal using their roll number or application number and date of birth.
  • Then they need to pay the counselling fee (50,000/- approx) and upload the required documents asked in the portal.
  • After completing the counselling fee transaction, the applicants will get an auto-generated slip.
  • Applicants should possess a hard copy of the acknowledgement note for clarification purposes.
  • Following the counselling, those selected for provisional admission will be required to pay the rest amount of Rs. 82,500/- (approx) online through the same online portal they enrolled for the online counselling.
  • After completing a transaction, an acknowledgement slip will be generated automatically.
  • Candidates should maintain a printout of the acknowledgement slip (received after payment of fees) for future reference.
  • The applicants' admission will be subject to the fulfilment of their educational qualification conditions.
  • Only those participants who have completed the counselling registration and paid the counselling charges within the time limit will be included in the University's provisional merit list.
  • Students should note that registering for counselling does not guarantee a seat at the counselling.

Release of AILET Seat Allotment

  • AILET seat allotment will be done in multiple rounds.
  • NLU - D will release the category-wise list of the applicants invited for counselling.
  • The list will comprise three times more candidates than the actual number of seats per category.
  • The university will announce the first list of provisionally selected candidates along with the waiting list. Only candidates who have enrolled for counselling will be considered.
  • The university will assign a deadline for the payment of the balance fees by the chosen first list of applicants.
  • The university will then declare the second list of candidates from the Waiting List who have been provisionally selected.

The following information will be included in the AILET 2025 seat allocation list -

  • Candidates who have been chosen from various categories will be able to participate in the AILET 2025 counselling procedure.

  • After that, their names will be removed from the AILET 2025 merit list if they fail to pay the counselling charges.
  • Candidates must pay the counselling fee to ensure that their seats are reserved during this process.
  • The seat allocation lists will include information such as the student's name, admit card number, candidates' rank, and category.
  • Once the applicant's name is on the list, they must pay the balance fee within the stipulated time frame. The authorities will else revoke the provisional admission offer.
  • The students must pay the rest of the balance amount through the same interface and login credentials through which they paid the counselling registration charges.

AILET 2025 Detailed Reservation Criteria

Here are the major pointers of the AILET 2025 reservation criteria -

AILET 2025 Reservation for Scheduled Castes (15%) and Scheduled Tribes (7.5%) Categories

The applicants must have valid certificates issued by the proper authorities to secure a reservation under these categories.

  • Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) seats that remain unfilled will be converted to the other reserved category ( and vice-versa). The authorities will not offer the seats to any other reserved category.
  • In the instance of the non-availability of enough suitable SC or ST applicants, the unfilled seats will be considered for the General category candidates depending on the order of their scores and rank.
  • An approved Government authority must issue scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes certificates.

AILET 2025 Reservation for the Other Backward Classes (OBCs)-Non-Creamy Layer (22%)

  • OBCs (Non-Creamy Layers) make up 22% of the seats.
  • Qualified candidates will be those who have an OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued by a government agency that is listed on either a central list or a state list (both of which have been notified by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi).
  • A proper authority must have issued the OBC non-creamy layer certificate after January 1, 2025.

AILET 2025 Reservation for the Economically Weaker Section-EWS (10%)

  • 10% of seats are set aside for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
  • Reservation under EWS can be obtained by presenting a valid Income and Asset Certificate issued by a Competent Authority.
  • Only if a competent authority produces the Income and Asset Certificate will it be considered proof of the candidate's eligibility for EWS.

AILET 2025 Reservation for the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) 5% horizontal reservation

  • In compliance with the provisions of "The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016," a horizontal reservation of 5% has been offered to candidates belonging to the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category.
  • Applicants with a valid PwD certificate issued by a competent authority following the provisions of the "Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016" are eligible to apply under this category.

AILET 2025 Reservation for the Kashmiri Migrants (KM)-One Supernumerary Seat

  • One supernumerary seat has been set aside for Kashmiri migrants.
  • Kashmiri Migrants include Kashmiri Pandits/Kashmiri Hindu families living in the Kashmir Valley.
  • To be suitable for this category, the aspirant must submit a valid certificate issued by the proper authority at the time of provisional enrollment.
  • Because the Kashmiri Migrant quota seat is supernumerary, it will not be transformed into any other category if it stays vacant.

  • Two supernumerary seats are reserved for Jammu and Kashmir residents.
  • The candidate must submit a valid certificate issued by the appropriate authority at the time of provisional admission to qualify for this category.
