CA Final Exam Pattern 2025: Key Features & Marking Scheme

The key features related to the CA Final exam pattern 2025 are as follows -

  • The CA Final exam has 2 groups, which have 3 papers respectively. The mark distribution of each part of the paper varies.
  • The questions will be a blend of objective and subjective questions.
  • Papers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 have 30 MCQs and 70 illustrative questions, while for paper 6 it is 40 MCQs and 60 subjective questions.
  • There are 6 subjective questions for Papers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, out of which the 1st question has to be mandatorily attempted along with the MCQs. From the rest 5 descriptive ones, the students have to answer any 4.
  • Paper 6 is an open-book examination and has over 5 case study-based questions, from which 4 have to be answered. The questions will be worth 25 marks each. The breakdown for each case study question will be 10 marks for MCQs and 15 marks for broad answers.
  • For Papers 1 to 5, examinees cannot refer to any reference books etc during the examination, while Paper 6 is an open-book examination.
  • No marks will be deducted for any wrong answers for the MCQs.
