CEETA PG 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Anna University has released the eligibility criteria of CEETA PG 2023 along with the official brochure on its website. Candidates before filling the CEETA PG 2023 application form must check the detailed CEETA PG eligibility criteria 2023. To be eligible for the CEETA PG 2023 exam, candidates must ensure that they meet the CEETA PG eligibility criteria 2023. 

Anna University, Chennai will conduct the CEETA PG 2023 exam in offline mode. Aspirants who have successfully cleared their Bachelor’s degree securing 50% marks for general candidates and 45% marks for reserved candidates are eligible for the CEETA PG exams. GATE qualified candidates are also required to attend the CEETA PG 2023 exam for admission into various colleges and universities participating in CEETA PG admission test.

CEETA PG 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Norm 1

A pass in a recognised Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of BC,BCM,MBC,SC,SCA and ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu) in the qualifying degree examinations.

(or)

ii. B.Pharm Degree

(or)

iii. Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts, which are prescribed

Norm 2

Candidates with Section 'A' & 'B' certificates (e.g. AMIE) of the Institution of Engineers and other similar certificates of various professional bodies viz. Aeronautical Society of India etc., recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India and enrolled before 31.05.2013 are considered to be equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. Degree holders, only with 2 years regular full time experience in the relevant field after successful completion of the course including project work. An experience certificate shall be produced by the candidates.

i. 10 + 2 + AMIE

ii. 10 + 3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of

Technical Education) + AMIE

CEETA PG Reservation Criteria 2023

As per the official notification released by Anna University, out of the total number of seats in the CEETA PG 2023 participating colleges, a percentage of seats will be allotted to candidates belonging to SC / ST / SCA categories. An approximate 69% of the total seats will be reserved for the candidates belonging to special categories while the remaining 31% will be open to admission for general category and also to aspirants from other states.

The candidates seeking admission in various colleges from CEETA PG 2023 exams must note the following:

  • Candidates applying for CEETA PG from other states of India will be considered under the General Category only
  • Sri Lankan refugees are eligible for admission into M.E. / M.Tech / M. Arch / M. Plan courses if they have completed their degree from colleges and universities in Tamil Nadu
  • Sri Lankan refugees will be considered for admission from the General Category through single window counseling
  • Only candidates from Tamil Nadu will be eligible for admission from the reserved categories
  • Candidates applying from the reserved categories must ensure that they produce community certificates in the Permanent Community Card (PCC) format or in the form of Digitally signed e-certificate prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu
  • The PCC format certificates or the digital e-certificates should be obtained from competent issuing authorities only
