GSIB GET 2022 Selection Procedure

The GSIB GET selection process will start after the declaration of the GET 2022 result. Technically, the Selection Process starts with the release of the Cut-Off list of the management institutions as the list segregates the candidates on the basis of their performance in the GSIB GET 2022 offline examination.

The Selection Process mostly comprises of the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) round. However, the rounds of the selection process may differ depending upon the requirement of the management institution and the course for which the candidate has applied. Requirements for GSIB GET 2022 Selection

The candidates can get selected by clearing GET 2022 or by having following percentile in the below-mentioned examinations:

• CAT: 50% percentile and above
• MAT: 70% percentile and above
• XAT: 50% percentile and above
• NMAT: 140 score or above
• CMAT: 150 score and above
• GMAT: 500 score and above

Steps of GSIB GET 2022 Selection Process

The steps for GSIB GET 2022 selection process will be declared by the GITAM School of International Business once the result is released. After the result is declared, a cutoff list will be prepared by the Institute. The candidates who clear the cutoff successfully will be eligible to appear in the selection procedure of GSIB GET 2022. The selection procedure generally consists of two rounds - GD and PI.

Group Discussion (GD):

• This is the first round that the candidates have to face after clearing the cutoff declared by GSIB.
• A good number of students face the GD round every year but only a few of them are selected for the final round.
• The main aim of conducting this round is to judge the candidates on their expression of thoughts and understanding related to the topic given.
• The Group Discussion then starts, where each participating candidate needs to put their views and statements and counter questions the opposing candidates.
• Candidates are advised to site valid and meaningful statements related to the topic as these points will help them clear the GD round.   
• As the name of the round signifies, it is all about discussing a particular topic or issue. Therefore, candidates must remember to discuss the points instead of just mentioning them.
• Different areas and sectors are covered under the GD round. Candidates can be given topics related to politics, economics, sports, social, media and communication, aspiring leaders and their achievements, law, amendments, etc.
• Candidates who will successfully clear this round will be forwarded to the next round of the selection process.

Personal Interview (PI):

• The last stage of the selection process is the Personal Interview round.
• Candidates will be judged on their knowledge about the course, understanding, and use of management, IQ level, personal behavior, and approach towards particular issues.
• The area of questions can be anything and everything depending upon the experts and the candidates’ previous track record and the score of the cleared rounds.   
• The round includes a panel of judges and experts to question each candidate separately.
• After getting selected in this round the candidates should be ready to earn their seat in the admission procedure.
