The IPMAT Exam Pattern is divided into two sections. Candidates will have to attempt both these sections to complete the exams. Additionally, the questions in the IPMAT Exam Pattern will have both MCQ and Short Answer Questions. The IPMAT Exam Pattern includes Verbal Ability and Quantitative Ability sections. Out of which, the Quantitative Ability section will have 25 questions from the MCQ, and the rest 25 questions will be Short Answer Type Questions. The duration for each section will be 40 minutes. The IPMAT Exam Pattern includes positive and negative markings. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks. Whereas for every wrong answer, there will be a deduction of 1 mark. However, the Short Answer Type Questions of the Quantitative Ability section will not have any negative marking, as there are no correct or wrong answers. Apart from the short answer questions, all the Multiple -Choice Questions (MCQs) will follow the same marking scheme across the entire IPMAT Exam Pattern. Candidates must know the marking scheme to decide wisely whether to attempt an unfamiliar question or not. Listed below is the detailed marking scheme as per the IPMAT Exam Pattern 2025:
