No, 70 cannot be considered a good score in KCET. Generally, a score above 120 out of 180 can be considered good in KCET, but candidates must aim to score above 150 to seek admission to top colleges in Karnataka. A good score in KCET depends on a number of factors like the difficulty level of the exam, the number of applicants, and the cutoff trends.
A score ranging from 170 to 175 out of 180 can be considered a very good KCET score which can fetch one a rank below 50 in KCET 2025. However, a score of 130 and above can also be considered good in KCET which can get candidates a rank below 350.
The KSET certificate is valid for a lifetime from the date of issuance for the position of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges within Karnataka. This implies that, once you qualify for the KSET exam and obtain the KSET certificate, it remains valid indefinitely and does not expire once it is issued.
To calculate KSET marks, candidates must be acquainted with the KSET marking scheme first. The total marks for Paper I is 100 marks, while for paper II, it is 200 marks. 2 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and there will be no negative marks in the exam. To calculate your total KSET marks, first multiply the number of correct answers in Paper I by 2. After that, multiply the number of correct answers in Paper II by 2. Finally, add the marks obtained in Paper I and Paper II to get your total marks.
The passing percentage for KSET depends on the category of the candidate. For the General Category, it is 40% (out of 100 marks) in both Paper 1 and Paper 2, and for Reserved Categories (Cat-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, SC, ST, PWD (VH/PH) it is 35% (out of 100 marks) in both Paper 1 and Paper 2.
The KSET 2024 cutoff will most likely be released in January 2025 on the official website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will release the cutoff category-wise for Paper 1 and Paper 2 for all 41 subjects.
To check the KSET cutoff 2024, visit the official KSET website, navigate to the 2024 cut-off section, click on the labelled link to open the PDF, find your category and subject's cut-off score, and save the PDF for future reference.

Yes, KSET cutoff changes every year due to a number of factors, including the difficulty level of the exam, number of candidates appearing for the exam and their performance, reservation policy, vacancies in the colleges and universities in Karnataka, etc.
