The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) is a significant test for candidates who want to become associate professors or lecturers in colleges and universities in Karnataka. Conducted by the University of Mysore, the test is administered under the guidance of the KSET Centre for Lectureship and has 32 subject specializations. The KSET 2025 exam is likely to be conducted on April 12, 2025. The KSET 2025 exam has three papers, each of which is in the form of a multiple-choice question (MCQ). The first paper tests teaching aptitude and reasoning ability, and the second and third papers test the subject specialization chosen by the candidate. Passing this exam is an important step for candidates seeking to get appointed as teachers in educational institutions of the state.

But if you have already been qualified in previous KSET exams, you are prohibited from appearing for the test again in the same subject. In case a previously qualified candidate tries to reappear for KSET in the same subject, his or her application will be rejected, and his or her previous qualification will also be cancelled.

KSET 2025 Time Schedule

Candidates must fit into the KSET 2025 Eligibility Criteria given below to appear for the KSET 2025 exam. 

• Education Qualifications: Must be enrolled in Post post-graduation course or the candidates must have completed a master's degree. 
• 55% without rounding off- Candidates from the General category must have scored 55% in Master's Degree and Candidates from the reserved category must score a minimum 50% in Post Graduation. 
• Relevant Subject- Candidates must appear for a similar subject as chosen in post-graduation.

Candidates can download the KSET 2025 admit card from the official website- kset.uni-mysore.ac.in. Given below are the steps that can be followed to download the KSET Admit Card 2025. 

• Visit the official website of KSET's exam conducting body- kset.uni-mysore.ac.in
• From the home page of the website, click on the link "KSET 2025 admit card download". 
• Enter your login credentials
• KSET admit card will be displayed on your screen
• Download the PDF and take a printout for future use.

• Stages of KSET 2025: The KSET 2025 exam will be conducted in two stages. Stage 1 of the examination will consist of two papers, Paper I and II and Stage 2 consists of the KSET 2025 Merit List. 

KSET 2025 Exam Pattern: Stage 1

 Paper I and Paper II will be conducted in Pen and Paper mode. 

• Total Marks: The total mark for KSET 2025 Paper I is 100 and Paper II is 200.
• Marking Scheme: Two marks will be awarded for each correct answer and there is no negative marking in the KSET 2025 exam.

KSET 2025 Exam Pattern: Stage 2

• Merit List: Names of the selected candidates will be mentioned in the KSET 2025 Merit List. 
• Cutoff Marks: The KSET 2025 cutoff marks will be declared along with the KSET final merit list 2025.

The KSET 2025 Answer Key was released on November 24, 2025. Candidates are allowed to raise objections against the provisional KSET Answer Key 2025 in a given period. Once the exam conducting body reviews all the objections and makes changes in the answer key accordingly, the final KSET 2025 answer key is released on the official website. 

Candidates can check KSET 2025 results from the official website of KSET- kset.uni-mysore.ac.in/results. The result can be checked by using the login credentials like Date of Birth and Roll Number. Candidates are informed that cutoff marks of this entrance examination will be released along with the KSET Result 2025.

• Written Examination: The dates for the first step of the KSET selection process have still not been declared by the exam conducting body. The KSET written examination consists of two papers, Paper I and II (Both Compulsory). 
• Paper I of the written examination consists of the topics related to Research Aptitude and General Teaching, whereas paper II is subject-based. 
• KSET 2025 Merit List: After Paper I and II are conducted by the exam committee, candidates will have to wait for the release of the final merit list of the KSET 2025 exam. Names of the selected candidates who scored more than or equal to the KSET Cutoff 2025 will appear on the KSET merit list
