The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is a national-level test organized by IIT Bombay for admission to the BDes program at several institutes, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IIITDM Jabalpur. Admission is based on UCEED scores, determined through a Joint Seat Allotment Process managed by IIT Bombay. Candidates receiving a UCEED merit rank can participate in the UCEED 2025 seat allotment or UCEED 2025 counselling process. It is important to note that UCEED scores are also utilized by result-sharing institutes. However, these institutes, unlike participating colleges, do not engage in the Joint Seat Allotment process. Result-sharing institutes fill only a portion of the available seats based on UCEED scores, potentially using scores from other entrance exams to complete the remaining seats. The UCEED exam is held once a year, usually in January. It consists of two parts. Part A is a computer-based test, while Part B contains questions related to sketching that must be answered on the provided sheet. Candidates are required to attempt both parts within the given time.
