WBJEE 2021 Question Paper Analysis - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
The WBJEE 2021 exam featured questions aligning with the syllabus outlined by the WBCHSE syllabus for Classes 11 and 12. The questions were known to range from moderate to difficult in terms of difficulty level. A detailed overview of both Papers 1 and 2 has been outlined below.
WBJEE 2021 Question Paper - Mathematics
The first paper was conducted between 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This paper consisted of different sections of topics such as calculus, algebra, trigonometry, coordinate geometry and geometry. The questions. The total number of questions for this paper was 75 with a total of 100 marks. The question paper was further divided into three categories: Category-1 with 50 questions (1 mark each), Category-2 with 15 questions (2 marks each) and Category-3 with 10 questions (2 marks each). The questions in each category had 4 answer options, and for each wrong answer, there was a negative marking of ¼.
The question paper was made in 4 sets with a moderate level of difficulty, but the paper was lengthy.
WBJEE 2021 Question Paper - Physics and Chemistry
The second paper was conducted from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This paper consisted of both the parts of chemistry as well as physics. The topics varied from mechanics, electromagnetics, optics, and modern physics to physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry and organic chemistry. The paper had a total of 80 questions, with 40 questions from each subject. The paper was divided into three similar categories for both subjects (30+5+5). Similar to paper one the questions in this paper were also of objective types and a deduction of ¼ marks was there for each wrong answer.
