IBPS PO 2025

IBPS has recently released the exam calendar for 2025. According to the calendar, IBPS PO preliminary exams will be conducted on October 04, 05 & 11, 2025. The main exams will be conducted on November 29, 2025. IBPS PO has three stages: preliminary, mains, and interview round. The official notification will be released in August 2025. Registration for the post will also start in the same month. Last year, 3955 vacancies were fulfilled through the notification. This year also the same number is expected through the notification. 

The application fee to submit the registration form for IBPS PO is INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD candidates and INR 850 for general candidates. IBPS will release the IBPS PO notification, containing comprehensive details about the IBPS PO 2025 Exam. IBPS extends its recruitment services to public sector banks (such as PNB, BOB), SBI, RBI, NABARD, SIDBI, LIC & Insurance companies, and other regular member banks of the IBPS society. The IBPS PO 2025 selection processconsists of prelims, mains, and interviews. The preliminary exam covers Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and English Language. The mains exam is allocated 100 marks and includes objective and subjective-type questions, with a total mark allocation of 225.

The  Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary Officers exam marks its 15th iteration of this examination that is held to recruit Probationary Officers/Management Trainees (PO/MT) in around 11 Public Sector Banks in India. Since 2011, IBPS has initiated the Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for officer and clerk recruitment in Indian banks, accepting online applications via its official website. IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2025

The candidates who wish to apply for the exam must fulfil the IBPS PO 2025 Eligibility Criteria. The detailed eligibility requirements for IBPS PO 2025 exam have been demonstrated below:

Education Qualification Requirement

The candidates who wish to appear for IBPS PO 2025 exam must fulfil the following educational qualification requirements:

  • The candidates must have passed Graduation in any stream from a recognized university.
  • The candidates must have passed all the subjects at the graduation level (there is no minimum percentage requirement).
  • The students who are appearing for final year exams and who will get their results before the selection process of IBPS PO 2025 can also apply.

Nationality of the Candidate

The candidates who wish to apply for IBPS PO 2025 exam must fulfil one of the following laid nationality conditions as per the eligibility norms. That means, the candidates must be:

  • Citizen of India or
  • The subject of Nepal or
  • The subject of Bhutan or
  • Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to settle in India permanently or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zambia) Zaire, and Vietnam came to settle in India permanently. Also, he/she should have received the certificate of eligibility issued by the government of India.

Age Limit Requirement

The exam authority has also mentioned the age limit criteria for IBPS PO which the candidates must fulfill. There are also certain relaxation schemes for the reserved class. As per the age limit criteria,

  • The minimum age of the candidate should be 20 years old.
  • The maximum age of the candidate should not be more than 30 years.
  • As per the protocols laid by IBPS, there is a specific relaxation policy provided to the reserved candidates for age limit which includes 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwD, and 5 years for EXSM, Persons domiciled in J&K, Persons affected by the 1984 riots.

IBPS PO 2025 Application Form

The candidates who fulfill all the eligibility requirements for IBPS PO 2025 will have to fill out the application form to go to the next phase. IBPS PO 2025 Application Form will be available in online mode and it is mandatory for all the candidates to fill out the application form. The candidates will also be required to pay the application fee and upload the documents at the time of registration. 

How to apply online for IBPS PO 2025?

The candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to apply for IBPS PO 2025 exam:

  • Visit the official website of IBPS.

  • Click on โ€˜New Registrationโ€™ on the โ€˜Homeโ€™ page.

  • A new dialogue box will open with credentials to be filled in by the new member to get a Registration Number and a Password from the exam conducting authority.

  • After adding information in the blanks, click on โ€˜Submitโ€™ button.

  • You are now a registered member of IBPS website. A Provisional Registration Number and a Password will be sent to the provided email address and phone number.

  • If you are a registered member, then log in with your Registration Number and Password to start the form-filling process.

  • Once you have logged in with the Registration Number and Password correctly then a new page with the form will open

  • Enter your basic details like First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Mobile Number, Alternate Mobile Number and Email ID, in this form.

  • When you are done filling the blanks given, cross-check and click on โ€˜Save and Nextโ€™ tab given in the right-hand side corner at the end of the page.

  • A new page will open with option to upload the images.

  • These scanned images of your photograph and signature are to be uploaded one by one in the space given.

  • The format and size of the image is a must to be followed, else your images will not be accepted by the system.

  • After successfully uploading the scanned copies, click on โ€˜Nextโ€™ tab.

  • In the next step, you will be required to select the preferred organisation for Pre Exam Training and final recruitment.

  • You can select your preferences from the list provided on the left side of the page.

  • After selecting all the desired preferences, click on โ€˜Save and Nextโ€™.

  • You must cross-check the details filled in as no changes will be done in this portion once it has been submitted from your end.

  • The registration fee can be paid using Internet banking /credit card/debit card/IMPS/Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets only.

  • After completing the payment, a transaction acknowledgement page will open along with mail on the registered email address. Save this page and take a printout of it for future reference.

IBPS PO Admit Card 2025

IBPS PO Admit Card 2025 will be released before the prelims and mains. Those candidates who get passing marks in the preliminary examination will be eligible to get the main admit card. How to Download IBPS PO Admit Card 2025?

The candidates can follow the following steps to download the IBPS PO 2025 admit card:

  1. Go to the official website. or click on the above link.
  2. Select the "CRP/PO/ MT XI" Link.
  3. Enter the Registration number, Password, and Date of Birth followed by solving the Captcha 
  4. Click on the "Login" tab
  5. Once displayed, check all the information mentioned on the pre-exam training call letter

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2025

The IBPO PO Main exam is conducted online. It consists of 5 (4+1) sections, that comprise 200+25 points. The duration of the exam will be 180+30 minutes. The main test for IBPS will include a descriptive paper to choose candidates for the position of probationary officer. The topics must be completed within the allocated time and in the same order as specified at the time of the exam. For the interview process to proceed, a candidate must pass both the preliminary and major exams.

Attempting 200 marks for Objective Tests and 25 marks for Descriptive Tests, students have to attend the test online. All the descriptive answers are also answered through the computer. The students can attend the descriptive test immediately after completing the Objective Test, which is of 3 hours duration. Different sections under the Objective Test are allowed a different time limit. It is necessary for candidates to qualify for each of the tests by obtaining passing marks, to be decided by the Bank through the cut-off. After completing the objective test, students can attend English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). The candidates are provided 30 minutes to complete a Descriptive Test consisting of 25 marks.

Introduction of Descriptive Paper: Similar to the SBI PO Exam, the IBPS Mains Examination includes a Descriptive Paper where candidates' writing abilities will be assessed. Candidates will have to attempt an essay and write a letter consisting of 25 marks each They would be provided 30 minutes to finish this part of the exam.

โ€ข There has also been a change to the overall time permitted for each component.

โ€ข There is no separate exam conducted for computer applications. The subject including reasoning and computer aptitude has 45 questions. These questions are marked for a total of 60 marks.
โ€ข From 140 minutes to 180 minutes total, plus 30 minutes for the descriptive test, is the new duration permitted for the IBPS PO 2025 Mains Objective Exam. The duration of the IBPS PO Mains 2025 exam is 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Since the IBPS PO exam is taken online, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) does not publish an official IBPS PO answer key. The unofficial IBPS PO answer key, which will be created by the experts based on questions with a memory component, will be available for applicants who have already taken the exam. Candidates can determine how many questions they correctly answered by consulting the IBPS PO answer key. Additionally, they will be able to predict their IBPS PO exam results. All of the applicants are well aware of the significance of the marks obtained in the preliminary and main written exams. IBPS PO Prelims result 2025 will be tentatively released on November 21, 2025. IBPS PO main result will be tentatively released on January 31, 2025. The result will be available until February 7, 2025. The result will be released on the official website at ibps.in. IBPS PO Cutoff 2025

The main exam is divided into five sections: English Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation, Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, and General/Economic/Banking Awareness (Letter Writing & Essay). The test has 225 points in total. Candidates are chosen for the Interview based on the IBPS PO cut-off scores for the main test. Cutoffs are established and candidates are shortlisted for the interview based on the number of openings. Scores from the main exam are not disclosed to the individuals chosen for the interview procedure until after the interview process has been completed. IBPS PO Selection Process 2025

After the IBPS PO 2025 exams, the eligible candidates are to participate in the second stage of the Selection Process of IBPS PO.  These stages are also the determining factors for the Selection Process without which the final selection of the candidates for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) will not be complete. The IBPS PO 2025 Selection Process will go through the following stages:

  • Performance in the Preliminary test,
  • Performance in the Main test,
  • Performance in the Interview,
  • Verification of the Documents

IBPS PO Preliminary Test

This is the First Stage of the Selection Process for IBPS PO 2025. In this candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the online exam conducted all over the nation. The level of competition in this stage is high, as the number of applicants is more than 3 lakhs, which tends to increase with every passing year and announcement of different banking posts. . And the result for the same has now been declared on the official website of IBPS. Candidates who will clear this stage and mark their place in the provisional cut-off marks list will become eligible to appear in the Second Stage of the Selection Process.

IBPS PO Mains Test

IBPS PO Mains is the Second Stage of the Selection Process that can be taken only by the candidates who have acquired the Provisional Cut-Off Marks in the First Stage which is the Preliminary Exam. Once the result of the Prelims is out, selected candidates will be able to download their IBPS PO 2025 Mains Admit Card from the official website. The Mains Examination will be a paper of 3 hours and 30 minutes with 155 + 2 questions. The paper will be both Objective and Subjective in the medium of the language selected by the candidates. Candidates successfully clearing this stage will be sent forward for the Third Stage of the Selection Process.

IBPS PO Interview Process

Only those candidates who qualify for IBPS PO Mains will be called for the Interview Process which is the Third Stage of the Selection Process. Interviews will be organized at select centres. The examination centre, the address of the venue, time & date of the Interview will be notified to the selected candidates in the call letter. Candidates will have to download their interview call letters from the official website of IBPS. Please note that no request regarding changes in the date of the interview, centre, etc. will be considered. However, the conducting authorities have the right to change the date, venue, time, centre, etc. of the interview or hold supplementary processes for the particular date, session, venue/centre under unforeseen circumstances, if any.

The total weightage for the Interview Process is 100 marks. General category candidates need to score 40% of marks in the Interview Process to qualify. Candidates belonging to reserved categories must score 35% of the marks. The cumulative score of Mains and Interview Process in a ratio of 80:20 will be taken into consideration for selecting the candidates for which a merit list will be prepared. Candidates whose names feature in the merit list will be offered appointment letters.

House Rent Allowance (HRA) for IBPS PO: Depending on the city, it can be 9.0%, 8.0%, or 7.0% of the basic pay. It varies depending on the site of posting (i.e., metros, big cities, or other locations).

IBPS PO Dearness Allowance (DA): As a percentage of the basic salary (in January 2016, it was around 39.8% of the basic salary, but as of November 2017, it had decreased to 23.87%), Dearness Allowance (DA) is paid to employees. Based on the All India Consumer Price Index Data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, Government of India, this is updated every three months. In the upcoming wage settlement, the Bank unions are determined to make it a monthly revision.

IBPS PO Special Allowance (SA): The banks' most recent pay modification included this allowance. 7.75% of the basic wage is the equivalent. It became active in November 2017.

Depending on the type of city, the IBPS PO City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) may be 0%, 3%, or 4%.

Other benefits for IBPS Probationary Officers include a learning allowance, travel expenses reimbursement, newspaper reimbursement, medical assistance, and benefits under the new pension plan, among others. The total remuneration might be more than Rs. 52,000.
