About BHU B.Ed Entrance Exam 2024 Counselling (Ongoing)

The BHU B.Ed entrance exam counselling process 2024 is being held by the Banaras Hindu University. As per the schedule provided by the university, round 2 seat allotment has been declared today, June 24, 2024. 

Candidates who receive allocation can confirm the seats between June 24 - June 27, 2024, (11.59 am). The concerned department will conduct the online verification of the essential certificates/ documents between June 24 - June 28, 2024, (11.59 am). After approval from the authorities, the candidates can pay the fee to confirm their admission.

Before that the CAP 2024 closed on June 3, 2024. Admission to the B.Ed course at the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, is done based on the CUET PG scores. However, the counselling process is conducted and supervised by the university itself and not NTA.

The BHU B.Ed entrance examination 2024 counselling process consists of the following steps -

Step 1: Filling out the CAP PG 2024 Application Form

New Registration and Profile Completion

Candidates are required to fill out the CAP PG 2024 application form for DU LLB counselling 2024. To begin the registration process, applicants must click on the “New Registration” link.

The following are important to register for CAP PG 2024 -

  • CUET PG 2024 Application Number
  • Candidate’s name as per CUET PG 2024
  • Date of Birth per CUET PG 2024
  • Email address of the applicant
  • Phone number of the applicant

To complete the CAP registration process, aspirants must enter the OTP they received on their registered email address. Once the registration is completed, applicants have to log in to their dashboard to proceed to complete the DU LLB counselling CAP PG 2024 application form.

Profile Section

  • In this segment, applicants have to provide their details which must align with the data in their documents/ certificates.
  • There should be no inconsistencies in the data they add to the CAP PG 2024 application form or else it may result in the rejection of the form.
  • Additionally, applicants must verify the bank account information they provided and ensure it is correct and belongs to them or their guardian/ parent. Any refund from the university will be credited to the said account.
  • Once candidates finish the registration part of the CAP application, they cannot edit particulars like the name of the parents, Category/ Sub-category/ Caste/ Supernumerary Quota, Gender, Email ID, mobile number, and bank account details.

Uploading Documents

  • Aspirants have to upload the necessary documents/ certificates in this step.
  • They must make sure that the names on the certificates they upload match their name in the CUET PG. Further, the names of the parents must be identical to those mentioned on the certificates of the applicants.
  • The candidate is responsible for the authenticity of the certificates they add. 
  • If the authorities find any false records or false attested certificates, it will result in the disqualification of the applicant from the university/ or the participating colleges.

  • In this stage, the aspirant can review the information they have entered in the CAP form.
  • If they notice any errors, they are requested to make the necessary corrections.
  • They must go through all the fields of the DU LLB 2024 counselling online form and ensure all of these are error-free.

Submit and Lock the DU LLB Counselling 2024 CAP Application Form

  • After candidates have finished the “Profile” part and uploaded the documents, they must check the form with caution.
  • Once the applicants have tapped on the “Submit and Lock” link, the “Profile” division of the CAP form will be finalised and they cannot make further modifications to it.

Step 2: Programme Selection and Preference

  • After filling out the CAP application form, the applicant has to select the programme/ programmes. 
  • They can choose multiple programmes and locations such as departments/ centres/ colleges and order their preferences. This sequence will be taken into account while the university announces the seat allotment.
  • The applicant must add these choices carefully, as it will affect their seat allocation.
  • It is recommended that candidates add as many options as possible.

Step 3: Fee Payment

  • Please note that before making the registration fee payment, the applicant must be ready with the necessary information such as the card or net baking or UPI details.
  • Candidates can pay the BHU B.Ed entrance exam 2024 counselling registration fee by using net banking or debit card or credit card or UPI. Please note that payment made via any alternative method or mode will not be accepted by BHU.
  • After paying the BHU B.Ed counselling registration fee, the applicants must save the data of the transaction, which may be required for future reference.
  • The CAP application form will be regarded as complete only after the applicants pay the registration fee. 
  • The registration fee is non-refundable.

Step 4: Seat Allotment

  • Each course will have 2 types of lists, where applicable - the  Combined Merit List (CML) and the Programme-wise Merit List (PML). 
  • During seat allotment, the university will consider applicants from all backgrounds while declaring the Combined Merit List (CML). 
  • However, the Program-wise Merit List (PML) will include the candidates for the said course based on programme-specific eligibility.
  • Once the merit lists-cum-allotment lists are issued, candidates must check their allocation status. If the candidate has been offered a seat, they are required to log in to the CAP PG 2024 dashboard, accept it within the given period and complete all the subsequent formalities for the admission process.
  • If the applicant does not accept the allotment, then he/ she will not be considered for the further admission process.
  • The applicant must regularly check the CAP PG 2024 portal during the counselling process or after each seat allotment round. They must follow the counselling calendar to stay updated with the dates.

The seat allocation result will be based on the below criteria - 

  • Availability of seat
  • Merit list specific to the course
  • Social categories such as UR/ OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ EWS etc.
  • Any other policies or rules outlined that apply to admission. 

Step 5: Online Verification by the Department/ Centre/ College

  • In this phase, the department/ centre/ college will conduct the eligibility verification of the candidate for the accepted seat.
  • The officials will verify the minimum requirements, course-specific eligibility criteria, CUET PG 2024 score validity, and authenticity of the uploaded certificates/ documents.
  • After online verification, the department will either confirm or reject the allocated seat.
  • If the authorities find that the candidate is eligible for admission, then he/ she has to pay the admission fee.

Step 6: Admission to the Provisionally Allotted Seat

  • Once the assigned seat has been approved by the concerned department, the aspirant has to make the admission fee payment to secure the seat.
  • Unless the candidate has paid the admission fee, the admission will not be regarded as complete.
  • Please note that the admission fee has to be paid by the candidate within the specified time, or else the candidature will be dismissed and he/ she will lose the allotted seat.
  • Such an aspirant will not be considered for the next rounds of allotment. 
  • Candidates are advised to pay the admission charges well in advance to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.

Step 7:  Subsequent Rounds of Allotment

  • There will be multiple rounds of seat allocation during the BHU B.Ed counselling process. The number of rounds of allotment depends on the number of vacancies due to rejections, cancellations or termination of provisional admissions.
  • All aspirants for CAP PG 2024 are eligible for the subsequent allotment rounds except those whose admissions have been withdrawn or cancelled.
  • Those applicants who select the "Upgrade" option in a specific counselling round will be given consideration for future allotment rounds, provided seats are available, as per their preferences.
  • Please note that candidates who have been assigned seats as per their top choices in any particular counselling round, will not be qualified for any further round for seat allocation.

Step 8: Spot Round Admission

  • After the regular rounds of seat allotment, BHU may organise more rounds of counselling which are known as Spot rounds, if seats are available.
  • Aspirants who applied for BHU B.Ed 2024 counselling but did not receive an allotment are eligible to apply for spot round admission.
  • Also, applicants who could not apply for CAP PG 2024 can apply for spot allotment.
  • Apart from that, students who are on the waiting list after the 7th round of counselling are qualified for spot admission.
