Questions in the BITSAT paper are selected randomly, so each candidate will receive a different set of questions. The BITSAT 2024 exam will be a computer-based test and the math section will occupy 40 questions of the total paper. Each question will comprise four options and only one answer will be correct.
The BITSAT 2024 Mathematics Exam Pattern provides information about exam mode, duration, marking schemes, BITSAT total marks more. BITS Pilani will hold BITSAT Phase 1 exam from May 20 to 24, 2024. Aspirants can check the BITSAT 2024 Mathematics Exam Pattern at bitsadmission.com. BITS Pilani has provided the BITSAT exam pattern 2024 for all the subjects in the official brochure.
The BITSAT Maths Exam 2024 will be conducted on the basis of the NCERT syllabus for the 11th and 12th class. The detailed BITSAT Mathematics Syllabus 2024 is given on the official site. There will be no section-wise time limit in the BITSAT Maths Exam 2024 paper. However, the candidates will have to complete the entire paper in three hours duration. No extra time will be provided to the candidates to complete the paper. Candidates will have the freedom to attempt any question/section in BITSAT 2024 as per their preference. They will also have the option to go back to a previously attempted question and edit it within the stipulated time duration of three hours. Each question will have four options, out of which the candidates will have to select the correct one. Candidates will be able to change their options during the duration of the examination, however, no requests for change of answers will be accepted after the paper is submitted. Some points that candidates need to keep in mind regarding the BITSAT 2024 Mathematics exam pattern and marking scheme is listed below:
If any aspirant attempts all 130 questions of the BITSAT 2024 exam in less than three hours then he/she will be allowed to attempt additional 12 questions within the remaining time. The additional questions will be from the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology sections and Logical Reasoning only. From the Maths section, only three questions will be given. However, as per the BITSAT 2024 Maths Exam Pattern, any candidate who chooses to answer these questions will not be allowed to go back and make any changes to the previously answered questions.

Yes, there is. There will be 12 questions, 3 from each section. Therefore, from Maths you will have 3 extra questions if you complete your paper before time.

As per the BITSAT 2024 marking scheme 3 marks will be awarded for every right answer, and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. The Maths section will carry 120 marks in total.
The total time allotted to complete the exam is 3 hours or 180 minutes. For Mathematics there is 40 marks. So, divide your time accordingly.
