BITSAT 2025 Physics Exam Pattern

The BITSAT exam is a crucial step for students aspiring to join the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS). Physics is one of the core subjects in BITSAT 2025 exam, testing candidates on their understanding of fundamental principles and problem-solving skills. According to the BITSAT 2025 Physics Exam Pattern, most of the questions are asked about Mechanical properties, Current Electricity, and Laws of Motion. There will be overall 30 questions in Physics and each question will have four options, out of which the candidates will have to select the correct one.

As per the BITSAT candidates of previous years, the Physics section is considered one of the toughest sections in BITSAT. BITSAT 2025 Physics Exam Pattern

All questions asked in the BITSAT exam will be of objective type (multiple choice). Each question has a choice of four answers, only one being the correct choice. As per BITSAT 2025 Physics Exam Pattern, each correct answer fetches 3 marks. As per BITSAT negative marking, each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1 mark). No marks are awarded for questions not attempted. While the candidate can skip a question, the computer will not allow the candidate to choose more than one option as the correct answer. BITSAT 2025 Physics Marking Scheme

The BITSAT Physics section follows a multiple-choice format, where candidates select the correct answer from given options. Each question typically carries three marks, with a negative marking for incorrect answers. Therefore, strategic guessing is advised only when confident. Below you can find some important points on marking schemes:-

  • Each correct answer will reward you with +3 and each incorrect answer will be negatively marked with -1.
  • Each question will comprise four options and only one answer will be correct.
  • Candidates can change their answers to a question at any given point.
  • There will be no time limit on when a candidate should complete each section of the exam.
  • Candidates who complete 130 questions in the 3-hour duration will get a chance to solve 12 extra questions.

Extra Questions in the BITSAT Physics 2025 Exam

If any aspirant is able to complete all 130 questions of the BITSAT 2025 exam in less than three hours then he/she will be allowed to attempt an extra 12 questions within the remaining time. The additional questions will be from all four sections. In the Physics section, only three questions will be asked. No candidate can go back and make any changes to the previously answered questions.

Dear Student,

66% in 12th is not enough for you to apply for BITSAT. To be eligible for BITSAT, you must have a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology subjects in the 12th Class, with at least 60% marks in each of the subjects (PCM/ PCB). We suggest you go through the BITSAT eligibility criteria to get an idea and stay updated on the latest eligibility norms laid down by BITS authority. BITSAT application for the next academic session will open in January.
