The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka has released the COMEDK 2024 seat allotment for Round on July 12, 2024. Candidates have the option to exercise their options and pay fees till July 21, 2024.

COMEDK UGET Seat Allotment 2024

COMEDK UGET seat allotment 2024 for Phase 2 will be released on July 26, 2024, at 2 pm in online mode; comedk.org. Candidates can sign in through the Candidate's Login portal with their credentials to check the COMEDK seat allotment. The official link for the seat allotment of COMEDK UGET 2024 will be updated below. Candidates must make decision regarding the seats and pay the fees from July 26 to 29, 2024 till 2 pm. The college reporting will be done from July 26 to July 30 till 2 pm. And, seat cancellation can be done between July 26 to July 30, 2024, till 3 pm. COMEDK UGET 2024 seat allotment 2024 is done on the basis of rank obtained by students in the entrance test, choices filled, and seat availability. Allotment letters will be made available in the student’s individual login. Students must ensure to download and take a printout of the COMEDK UGET 2024 seat allotment letter and fee payment receipt and report at the allotted institute.

COMEDK Seat Allotment Rules 2024 (Round 1)

The allotment of seats is done in the order of preference filled by the candidates. The system will allocate the seats to the candidates in non-interactive online mode.

Candidate Description

Round 1 Rules

General Merit Candidates

The general merit category of the candidate will be considered for the general merit quota. The allotment of seats will be done invariably on the basis of seat allotment.

HKR/ Tulu/ Telugu Minority

  1. The first preference will be provided to the HKR /Tulu/Telugu minority category candidates for general merit. The seat allotment will be done on the basis of rank and merit as per the choices filled by the candidates. When the general merit seats will be exhausted, the candidate belonging to the respective categories will be allotted the seats in their respective category as per their rank and as per the college and course preference given by them.

  2. In the case of a candidate belonging to minority categories, the below order will be followed based on rank and college and course preference entered:

  • General Merit

  • HKR

  • Tulu

  • Telugu

  1. For the preferences entered by the candidate, the availability of general merit seats will be checked, then HKR, then Tulu, and then Telugu. If any particular seat is not available as per the first preference, the system will look at the second preference of the candidates and the same process will be followed.

*Important Note: A candidate who selects the “Accept and Upgrade” option for a Minority seat allotted i.e. HKR/Tulu/Telugu in Round 1, will only be considered for minority seats in Round 2 Phase 1.

COMEDK 2024 Seat Allotment Rules (Round 2)

The round 2 rules for COMEDK round wise seat allotment is given in the table below:

Phase 1 (Allotment of HKR, Tulu, and Telugu Category Seats)

  • During Phase 1, the allotment of the seats will be done for the HKR, Tulu and Telugu minority candidates on the basis of seat availability. The order that will be followed for seat allotment for round 2:

  1. HKR

  2. Tulu

  3. Telugu

  • The candidates who select the “Reject and Upgrade” option in Round 1 and belong to any minority, the seats would be allotted in their respective category.

  • In case the candidates select “Reject and Upgrade” for allotment in Phase 1, the allotment will be done during the de-categorized round (Phase 2 of Round 2) for General merit seats.

Phase 2 (Allotment of General Merit Seats)

  • For phase 2, all the vacant seats for HKR, Tulu, and Telugu categories will be converted to general merit category seats. 

Eligibility for General Merit

The candidates who will be eligible for the general merit quota are

  • The general merit candidates who opted for “Accept & Upgrade” and Reject & Upgrade in Round 1.

  • The minority candidates who did not participate in the allotment of minority seats in Round 1 or Phase 1 of Round 2.

*Important Note: The candidates who belong to the HKR/ Tulu/ Telugu category and is in “Accept and Upgrade” status at end of Round 1 and is allotted a seat in Phase 1 of Round 2 will not be able to participate in further rounds.

The candidates who will be eligible for Round 3 seat allotment are

  • The general merit candidates who opted for “Accept & Upgrade” and Reject & Upgrade in Round 2 Phase 2.

  • “No Allotment” cases of Phase 2 of Round 2.

  • Visit the official website and then login page

  • Click on the “Decision Making “Tab

  • Click on Scroll down to 1st Round Details/2nd Round Details/3rd Round Details section as applicable for Allotment details

  • Here you can check the name of the college allotted, course allotted, preference order, seat category, and the total fee of the college that has been allotted

Important Notes

  • Reject and Upgrade candidates who are not allotted a seat during the next round will retain the status of their previous Round. This means that they will be considered as ‘Reject and Upgrade’ candidates

  • All candidates who were allotted college as per their first preference and chose ’Reject and Upgrade’ will be required to add preferences above their previously allotted preference

  • In case the candidate does not add preferences during the choice filling period for subsequent rounds, he /she will be considered as Reject & Withdraw

COMEDK 2024 Seat Allotment Option Filling

The candidates can follow the given steps to fill their options regarding COMEDK 2024 seat allotment:

  • After the candidates have checked and verified their seat allotment details, the candidates can scroll down to see the available choices

  • The choices which will be available for the candidates are explained below:

Accept & Freeze/Accept and Upgrade

The candidates who choose either of these two options will have to accept their allotted seats. The candidates will have to pay the total fee for the college allotted i.e. tuition + other fees. After making payment, the payment status will be updated in the decision-making tab.

Reject and Upgrade

The candidates who choose this option will be rejecting their seats and opting for the next round. Such candidates will have no claim on their previously allotted seats. The candidates will have to pay the total fee for the college he/ she is rejecting. After making payment, the payment status will be updated in the decision-making tab.

Reject and withdraw

The candidates who select this option will not have any claim on the allotted seat and will not be eligible for any subsequent rounds.

  • Select the option as preferable and click on the “proceed” button

Types of Seats Available for COMEDK 2024 Second and Third Rounds

The types of seats which will be available for the candidates in COMEDK 2024 2nd and 3rd rounds are as follows:

  • First round seats which are not allotted

  • Newly added seats, if any

  • Seats of candidates who did not report to the college or surrendered  their seats

  • The seats that were chosen as “Reject & Withdraw” and “Reject and upgrade”

  • Consequential Vacancies

College Reporting

The candidates who choose the Accept & Freeze option will have to report to the allotted college. The candidates will also have to download and bring the seat allotment letter and fee payment receipt at the time of reporting. The candidates will have to submit the following documents at the time of reporting:

  • COMEDK UGET 2024 Allotment Letter that has been issued by COMEDK 

  • All original documents uploaded by candidates and verified before counseling 

  • Transfer Certificate issued by the Institution last studied in

  • Migration Certificate (As applicable)

After the verification of documents, other admission formalities will be carried out.
