Conceptual and factual questions dominated the CTET paper 1 question paper. The topics covered in the CTET question paper 2024 for Paper 1 are based on NCERT syllabus for Classes 1 to 5. However, the CTET Paper 1 questions have the potential to be as difficult as the secondary level.

  • The difficulty level of the CTET Paper 1 ranged from easy to moderate.
  • However, the CTET paper 1 question paper has been regarded to be lengthy by the test-takers.

  • The overall difficulty level of Paper 2 has been observed to range from easy to moderate. However, the paper was a bit lengthy. Questions were not framed outside the prescribed syllabus.
  • The CDP section comprised conceptual questions and the Maths section comprised factual questions.
  • In the CDP section, 1 question was asked about Dyslexia.

CTET 2019 (December) Paper Analysis 2019 (Paper II)

The CTET 2019 paper-II was conducted from 2:00-4:30 PM on 8th December 2019. In this section, candidates had to answer 150 questions. There are four sections in the paper, which had to be solved within the duration of 150 minutes. The total marks allocated to the exam was 150.

The first three sections in Paper II were compulsory whereas the fourth section gave test takers the choice to attempt questions from either Maths and Science, Social Studies/Social Science or all the questions from Maths, Science and Social Studies/Social Science.

CTET 2019 (June) Paper Analysis (Paper I & II)

CTET 2019 exam was successfully conducted on July 07, 2019. Paper I of the CTET exam was conducted in the morning session and the Paper-II of CTET exam 2019 was conducted in the afternoon session. CTET Paper I (June) Analysis 2019

CTET Paper I was conducted for candidates aspiring for a teaching job at the primary level. The Paper I exam of CTET was conducted from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. According to the analysis or opinion of students, CTET Paper I exam 2019 can be analyzed as follows -

  • According to some candidates, CTET Paper I 2019 was moderately difficult. Some aspirants felt that the paper was easier than the December 2018 CTET Paper I exam.

  • This year, the number of questions in the Child Development and Pedagogy section was more than the expected number of questions. However, all the questions in this section were easy.
  • The Hindi language paper of CTET Paper I was easy than the December exam.

CTET Paper II Analysis 2019

CTET Paper II exam 2019 was conducted on July 07, 2019, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. This year, the overall difficulty level of the CTET Paper II was moderate to difficult. Based on the opinions and responses of students, the CTET Paper II question paper can be analyzed as follows -

  • The overall difficulty level of the CTET paper 2 exam was moderate to difficult.
  • The Child Development section of CTET Paper II exam 2019 was moderate, and many questions were asked from Child Development & Learning Theories.
  • Science & Mathematics section of the CTET Paper 2 exam was almost difficult, as most of the questions were asked from Geometry & Biology.
  • As far as Social Studies concerned, the difficulty level of the questions was moderate, and most of the questions were asked from Geography & History.
  • The Hindi & English section of CTET Paper 2 question paper was moderate.

CTET 2018 Paper Analysis

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET December 2018) was successfully conducted on Sunday, 9th December 2018 in two slots. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted Paper 1 and Paper 2 for screening candidates to be eligible for taking up teaching posts in the schools across the country. Applicants who wish to take up Primary level teaching posts (classes 1st to 5th) appeared for CTET Paper 1 which was scheduled between 9:30 am to 12:00 pm while those who wish to apply for Elementary level teaching posts (classes 6th to 8th) took the CTET Paper 2 exam that was conducted between 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

As far as the overall difficulty level of CTET Paper 1 is concerned, the question paper was of a moderate level and can be termed as easier than the previous time. CTET 2018 consisted of a total of 150 questions across different sections such as Child Development and Pedagogy, English Language, Hindi Language, Science and Mathematics (for the Science students) and Social Science (for the Arts students). 

In a nutshell, candidates felt that:

  • The volume of questions in the Child Development and Pedagogy sections was high and were also a little more difficult than expected.
  • The Hindi language paper was easier as compared to the previous year.
  • The English language section was longer than usual.
  • The Science and Mathematics section comprised of questions mainly from topics such as Biology and Arithmetic respectively. This section was of moderate difficulty level.
  • The Social Science section was of easy to moderate difficulty level and questions in this section were mainly from Geography and Political Science.
