CUSAT CAT 2024 Counselling Process (Ongoing)

CUSAT CAT counselling 2024 is being organised to grant admission to deserving candidates for the offered courses at Cochin University of Science and Technology. Option registration for B.Tech closed on June 30, 2024. The allotment results for B.Tech will be published soon on the official website.

Aspirants can check the same from the candidate profile. Meanwhile, spot counselling is being held at the department level by the Software Application Development, Hindi, Marine Biology, Environmental Studies etc. Candidates are advised to visit admissions.cusat.ac.in to check the details.

Candidates must keep checking the "Latest News" section on the official website at regular intervals. CUSAT counselling begins with registration, and it is followed by option entry, seat allotment, reporting to the allotted college and document verification.

CUSAT CAT 2024 Options Registration

CUSAT CAT 2024 Options Registration for B.Tech / B.Let / M.Sc. (Five year Integrated) in Photonics / M.Sc (Five year Integrated) in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence & Data Sciences) Programme has been enabled. Candidates from the above-mentioned courses who made it to the rank list of CUSAT CAT 2024 must submit their scores in the qualifying examination and register their choices via the login portal of the applicants. 

They can also modify or edit the web choices recorded by them, till the deadline of the option registration process of CUSAT CAT. However, once they complete the process, no further changes will be allowed by the university.

These selections will be processed by the admission committee and online or offline seat allotment will be done at the time of CUSAT CAT counselling or admission. Additionally, the shortlisted candidates must meet the eligibility criteria and regulations provided by the conducting body.

CUSAT CAT 2024 Options Rearrangement for 5 Year Integrated M.Sc Programmes

CUSAT CAT 2024 allotments for Integrated M.Sc programmes like MSc Science in Physics / MSc Science in Mathematics / MSc Science in Chemistry / MSc Science in Biological Sciences will be done based on the default options or rearranged options. 

Relevant candidates can modify the choices they recorded during the registration process of CUSAT CAT 2024 in the option rearrangement process. The options rearrangement window is expected to be open till June 2024.

Detailed CUSAT CAT 2024 Counselling Process

The CUSAT CAT 2024 counselling process involves the following steps:

Registration & Option Entry:

• It is mandatory for qualified candidates to register themselves in order to participate in the counselling of CUSAT CAT 2023, Candidates can register using the username and password sent on their email IDs.

• Once registered, the next step for candidates is to fill the choice of colleges and courses in order of their preference. At the time of choice filling, candidates should try and provide the maximum number of options.

• It must be noted that no changes can be done once the options are locked and submitted.

• In cases where candidates are not able to submit the form before the due date, the selected options will be automatically confirmed by the admission authorities.

Seat Allotment:

• Once the choice filling process is over, the next important step for candidates is to take the printout of the allotted seat.

• The seat allotment is done based on candidates' ranks, filled preferences and the number of seats available in particular courses.

• Also, candidates are allotted seats when the process of document verification is done and the counselling fee is paid.

• If seats still remain vacant after the subsequent rounds of counselling, a spot round of counselling will be conducted separately by the University.

• Before reporting at the allotted college, candidates must download the counselling call letter and carry the same along with other necessary documents.

Seat Acceptance and Payment of Fee:

• Next, the candidates will have to confirm their admission by paying the required fee. Failure to pay the CUSAT CAT 2024 admission fee within the allotted time will automatically cancel the candidate’s allotted seat. 

Reporting to allotted college:

• Candidates must report at the counselling venue as per the specified date and time for the purpose of document verification. 

• Once the process of document verification is done, the next step for candidates is to pay the admission fee in order to confirm their seats.

• It is a must for candidates to confirm their seats by paying the fee as per the schedule.

• Those who fail to show up for the counselling process as per the schedule, will not be considered for further counselling rounds.

Document Required for CUSAT CAT 2024 Counselling

Here is the list of major documents required for CUSAT CAT 2024 counselling - 

• CUSAT CAT 2024 Admit Card

• Migration Certificate (for students from outside Kerala state)

• S.S.L.C/10th Mark list & pass certificate (CBSE, ICSE etc.)

• Plus 2 Mark lists / and pass certificate (CBSE, ICSE etc.)

• Proof of payment of fees

• Certificate to prove Keralite Status, for State Merit Seats

• Transfer Certificate/Conduct Certificate from the Institution last attended (in the English version)

• Four passport size Photographs of the candidate

• Community and Non-Creamy Layer certificate in the case of ‘SEBC’ candidates.

• Community certificate issued by the Tahsildar in the case of Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC)/ Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST)candidates.

• Valid Physically Handicapped certificate issued by the District Medical Board of the State to which the candidate belongs to (for candidates seeking admission under physically challenged (PHC) category.
