Gujarat PGCET 2024 Seat Allotment

Gujarat PGCET 2024 seat allotment for round 2h has been released on September 4, 2024, at gujacpc.admissions.nic.in. The fee payment can be done from September 4 to 5, 2024. Candidates can cancel their admission from September 4 to 5, 2024. There are two categories based on which the seats are allotted i.e. government seats and management seats. The Gujarat PGCET seat allotment 2024 is being done on the basis of availability of seats, candidate's performance, number of students participating in counselling, etc. Candidates who qualified in the Gujarat PGCET 2024 or GATE/GPAT are eligible to participate in the counselling and seat allotment. Gujarat PGCET 2024 seat allotment for round 1 was released on August 27, 2024. ACPC has published the Gujarat PGCET 2024 counselling schedule.  Candidates who have valid GATE scores can also participate directly in the Gujarat PGCET counselling process 2024 and seat allotment.

Gujarat PGCET 2024 Seat Allotment Process

Government seats are filled on merit - basis as per the list displayed by the Admission Committee. Management seats are filled on the basis of inter-se merit list of the students and the seats are filled based on the decision made by respective Professional Educational College or Institution.

Seats for the first-year admission in Professional Post-Graduate Courses are available under the following categories:

Government Seats

  • Sanctioned seats of the Professional Postgraduate Courses in the Government Colleges or Institutions of the State. 

  • Sanctioned seats of the Professional Postgraduate Courses in the aided Colleges or Institutions.

  • 75% of the Sanctioned seats are allocated in unaided Colleges or Institutions for Professional Post-Graduate Courses. 

  • Extra seats are offered in government colleges, Institutions and in the aided and unaided Colleges or Institutions.

Notwithstanding any of the above rules:

1.  95% of all the sanctioned Government seats for Professional Postgraduate Courses are filled by candidates who meet the following criteria:

The candidate has passed the qualifying examination from any of the Universities/ Institutes.
The candidate holds Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination from schools in Gujarat or hold a diploma in Engineering from Universities or institutes in Gujarat. 

2. 5% of the seats sanctioned Government seats will be allocated to the following candidates:

  • Passed qualifying examination from any of the Universities or Institutes. 

  • Passed  Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination or Diploma in Engineering from any institute or university outside of Gujarat. Still if any of the seats are vacant, it will be offered to candidates mentioned in above point 1. 

  • Notwithstanding rule 2, if any seat is vacant it will be filled by candidates under rule 1. And vice- versa.

Management Seats

25% of the sanctioned seats for Professional Post- Graduate Courses are offered in the unaided Colleges or Institutions, It includes 15% of the non-resident Indian seats. 
 Unaided College or Institution who request for management Seats three days prior to the counselling process are allocated seats under management. 

Notwithstanding anything of the above points:

25% of the management seats in unaided Colleges or Institutions, 10% of the total sanctioned seats of the Professional Post-Graduate Course shall be offered to the following candidates:

Passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination from any school
 Hold Diploma  Diploma in Engineering from any of the Universities or institutes in Gujarat.

 Supernumerary Seats 

These seats are filled according to the guidelines of AICTE, New Delhi and Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.

Dear Student,

The Gujarat PGCET 2024 exam date has been postponed. The examination will now be conducted on August 3 & 4, as per the revised schedule. The conducting body, ACPC has released the hall ticket for the same on the website acpc.gujarat.gov.in. If you have completed your document verification and downloaded the letter but are failing to find your Gujarat PGCET 2024 admit card, then you are advised to go through your e-mail inbox once as the authority sends the hall ticket to the candidate’s ID.
