    GUJCET 2025 Normalization Policy

The exam conducting authority of GUJCET will implement a normalization policy for calculating the final score. The final score of GUJCET 2025 can be considered as the normalized score. The normalized score will help the exam authority to prepare the GUJCET 2025 Merit List based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam and Senior Secondary Exam. While calculating the marks, 60% of the total weightage will be given to the candidate’s 10+2 result and 40% of the weightage will be allotted to the entrance exam result.

The normalization of marks is a grading practice followed to assess the candidate’s performance in the GUJCET 2025 entrance exam fairly. The marks scored by the candidates in the exam may differ depending on the difficulty level of different sets. Normalization is done to keep such factors away while determining the merit of the candidates.

Here is how the GUJCET 2025 final score will be calculated -

Final Score = (60% of Class XII marks) + (40% GUJCET 2025 marks)

    GUJCET 2025 Tie-Breaking Criteria

On certain occasions, marks scored by GUJCET examinees might be the same but their ranks cannot be the same on the merit list. To resolve the tie, the authorities implement the GUJCET 2025 Tie-Breaking Rule in the following order -

    • Candidates scoring higher in Physics and Mathematics are given preference.

    • If a tie persists, candidates scoring higher in Maths and Chemistry are given preference.

    • If the tie is still not broken, sectional marks for all categories are compared. Therefore, based on the final score, candidates are shortlisted and the GUJCET Merit List 2025 is prepared.
