As per the INI CET 2025 Eligibility Criteria, candidates must have completed MBBS from any institution recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC) to appear for the INI CET 2025. The minimum marks required as per the INI CET Eligibility Criteria 2025 are 55% (UR) and 50% (Reserved). Along with that, candidates also need to complete 1 year rotating internship.

The eligibility criteria for the INI CET 2025 Exam, established by AIIMS for Indian candidates, mandate an undergraduate degree in medical studies or a related field. Advanced degree holders like MD, MS, or MBBS are also eligible, with varying aggregate score requirements based on the candidate's category.  Given below are the pointers that describe the INI CET eligibility criteria for Indian National. 

  • Minimum Qualifications: To be eligible, candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree course in the field of medical studies or a related subject.
  • Eligibility for Students with Advanced Degrees: Those who hold advanced degrees such as MD, MS, or MBBS are also considered eligible to apply for the INI CET exam.
  • Minimum Marks for Unreserved Category Applicants: For candidates belonging to the general category, a minimum aggregate score of 55% in their bachelor's degree is required.
  • Minimum Marks for Reserved Category Applicants: ST, SC, and PwD candidates need to achieve a slightly lower aggregate score of 50% in their bachelor's degree to be eligible.

For candidates who have attained their undergraduate degrees from foreign universities or colleges, the following requirements apply for INI CET Eligibility Criteria 2025 for Foreign Nationals:

  1. Equivalency Certificate: It is essential for such candidates to provide a certificate from the specific college or institution they attended. This certificate should indicate that the grade they have achieved is equivalent to the required percentage as stipulated in the INI CET eligibility criteria. No Objection Certificate (NOC): Additionally, candidates in this category are required to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the Government of India before they can take the INI CET exam. The candidates willing to apply for the INI CET exam 2025 must follow the eligibility criteria to be able to apply for the exam. To apply for the July session of the INI CET exam 2025, the candidates must follow the INI CET exam eligibility criteria 2025, which is set by the AIIMS. The Indian and foreign national candidates, along with OCI/PIO candidates can apply for the INI CET exam for admission into PG courses at the participating Institutes of National Importance (INIs), including AIIMS and other prestigious medical institutes. The INI CET 2025 eligibility criteria for Indian and foreign national candidates are different. To become eligible for the INI CET registration and exam 2025, Indian candidates must check the below-given INI CET eligibility criteria 2025:

  • The candidates must have passed an MBBS Degree for MD / MS / DM / MCh and a BDS Degree for MDS from a university recognized by NMC / MCI and DCI respectively.
  • The candidates must have completed 12 months of Internship or practical training under different departments on or before 31st January 2025. The internship is experience required in all INI institutes. The candidates who fail to complete their internship before the prescribed date will not be considered for registration for the July session INI CET 2025.
  • The Indian Nationals who graduated from India must attain 55% aggregate marks for OBC / EWS and 50% for SC / ST categories in MBBS / BDS (4 years) professional courses.
  • The eligibility for admission to various Institutes of National Importance (INIs) depends upon the eligibility criteria of the candidates.

For Sponsored Candidates (Indian Nationals)

The sponsored candidates applying for the exam must need to acquire the minimum marks as mentioned above. Moreover, they must also upload a valid and original sponsored certificate during the process of completing of INI CET 2025 application form within the due date and time.

For Indian Candidates Graduated from Foreign Universities:

The marks of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination conducted by the National Board of Examination will be considered as the qualifying marks for INI CET 2025.

Foreign Nationals Eligibility Criteria for INI CET 2025

The foreign nationals are given to the candidates who are not citizens of India. Before filling up the INI CET 2025 application form, the candidates must read the INI CET eligibility criteria from the official brochure. The foreign national candidates can refer to the following points related to the INI CET eligibility criteria for 2025:

  • The academic qualifications for foreign nationals are the same as mentioned above in eligibility for Indian Candidates.
  • Along with the academic qualification, the candidates must have completed 12 months of internship or training in the medical departments.
  • The foreign candidates must have obtained a certificate of grading system from a recognized University / Institution to estimate the value of grading in percentage for admission to the Indian colleges.
  • The calculated marks achieved by the foreign national candidate must be filled in the โ€˜Marks Columnโ€™ during registration for the completion of the application for the INI CET 2025 July Session before the last date.
  • According to the INI CET eligibility criteria 2025, the minimum marks required for foreign candidates are 55% aggregate in all examinations of MBBS / BDS professional courses.
  • The No Objection Certificate (NOC) must be issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to the candidates applying for the INI CET exam 2025. It must be submitted by the candidates before the specified last date i.e. 3rd week of May 2025 (tentative). It must be noted that the NOC is issued only by the Ministry of External Affairs and will not be considered valid for INI CET.
