About ISI Admission Test 2024 Counselling Process (Ongoing)

The ISI Admission Test counselling process 2024 is conducted to shortlist candidates for the offered courses. The Indian Statistical Institute has published the round 2 allocations for all the offered courses. Meanwhile, round 3 seat allotment results have also been declared for Bachelor of Statistics (Hons), Bachelor of Mathematics Honours, Master of Technology in Computer Science (GATE Channel) etc.

Aspirants who received allocation have to confirm their allotment by paying the Seat Acceptance Deposit (SAD). After confirmation of the seat allocation, aspirants have to pay the admission fee as per the schedule.

ISI Admission Test 2024 Counselling Process Important Steps

The ISI Admission Test 2024 counselling procedure is as follows -

Information About Provisional Seat Allocation

  • All aspirants on the merit list of the ISI admission test will receive emails from applicationportal@isical.ac.in to their respective registered email addresses.
  • The emails will notify the candidates about the provisional seat offer or the waitlist offer and other required details. Each aspirant can either accept or reject the offer. 

Exercise Web Options

  • To exercise the web options, the aspirants have to open the official website with the email id used during the application process.
  • They will have to regenerate the password to log in by using the “Forgot Password” link on the login page.
  • Please note, that only those candidates will be authorised to login when the relevant provisional admission round is ongoing for them. 

Accept or Reject the Provisional Seat Offer

  • If the applicant is satisfied with the provisional seat offer and accepts it, then they have to complete the required forms for admission and submit the same.
  • Once they fill out the forms, they will get the payment link.
  • Candidates must follow the instructions for payment and make the payment through the payment gateway.
  • After the payment is done, the aspirants will get a confirmation message for successful payment and an email as well confirming the same. 
  • Those who accept the waitlist seat offer, then the aspirants will be provided an email regarding the change in status at a later date in the admission process.

However, if the aspirant declines the provisional seat offer or the waitlist offer, they will no more be a part of the ISI admission test 2024 admissions process. 

Verification of Documents and Admission of the Candidates

  • On the basis of the uploaded certificates and documents, admission will be made provisionally.
  • Original documents must be presented by the candidates for verification at the reporting centre of that particular course.
  • Additionally, they have to submit verified photocopies of the required documents and certificates, which will be needed for the academic record file of every aspirant.
  • If the aspirants fail to furnish original documents, this may lead to cancellation of their admission and no refund will be made.
  • Once they join the programme, the candidates will have to pay separately for hostel or mess deposits.

Seat Acceptance Deposit Important Points

  • To complete the seat acceptance process, candidates have to login to the candidate portal. 
  • General Category candidates have to pay Rs 20000 as the Seat Acceptance Deposit (SAD).
  • For candidates from SC / ST / OBC / NCL / PwD / EWS categories, Rs 12000 is the Seat Acceptance Deposit.
  • If the aspirants accept the seat offer, get admitted to the offered programme, attend the first semester classes and appear for the examination of the first semester, then the entire Seat Acceptance Deposit paid by them will be refunded.
  • Those who accept the seat offer, but do not take admission, or discontinue the said programme without finishing the first semester, then the Seat Acceptance Deposit paid by them will be refunded after 75% is deducted from the amount as a processing fee.

Documents Required for ISI Admission Test 2024 Counselling

Here is the list of certificates and documents required for the ISI Admission Test 2024 Counselling Process -

  • Proof of date of birth 

  • Copy of payment receipt of seat acceptance deposit

  • Copy of payment receipt of Library caution deposit

  • Copy of payment receipt of medical insurance premium

  • Certificates and mark sheets proving academic eligibility criteria

  • Four stamp-size colour photographs of dimension - 3.5 x 2.5 cm

  • Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a registered Medical Practitioner

  • Special certificates such as related category certificates for aspirants seeking admission under SC / ST or OBC - NCL category

  • EWS certificate for relevant candidates looking for admission under the EWS category

  • PwD certificate for applicants under the PwD category

  • Domicile certificate for individuals seeking enrolment to the PGDARSMA (Domicile) programme.

  • Work-related certificate or undertaking if applicable for sponsored candidates or for employed aspirants on academic leave

  • Other aspirants must furnish a Declaration or undertaking of non-employment

  • Declaration or undertaking of full-time academic engagement

  • The undertaking of non-ragging by the aspirants.

  • Submission of the account form (available on the official site) for transferring stipends or fellowships or other deposits for eligible applicants

  • Xerox copy of the first page of the bank passbook with the account holder's name (that is the candidate), account number, IFSC code, branch name etc. or photocopy of a cancelled bank cheque.

Dear Student,

There is no MSc in Statistics offered through ISI Admission Test. However, you can try for the M.Stats course. In order to get eligible for M.Stats through ISI Admission Test, you need to have passed any of the following educational qualifications:

  1. You should have 3-year Bachelor’s degree or a BE/B.Tech. degree with Statistics as a subject, or
  2. B. Math. Degree from ISI, or 
  3. PG Diploma in Statistical Methods with Applications from ISI.
