The questions are based on the general syllabi for graduation and postgraduate level courses offered by various Indian universities and institutions. JEST question papers are typically not made available. However, some questions from previous years’ examinations are available.
The JEST 2025 exam will cover a wide range of topics in Physics such as Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetism and Optics, Quantum Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Statistical Physics, Electronics and Mathematical Methods
The JEST 2025 exam will be conducted in English only.
According to the latest JEST 2025 exam pattern, each correct answer in Section A will be awarded 3 marks and 9 marks in Section B. Negative marking is applicable for both sections. -1 mark will be deducted in Section A for every wrong answer and -3 marks for Section B.
The JEST 2025 exam will be a computer-based test (CBT) of 3 hours duration. The exam will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into two parts:
- Section- A: 25 questions (3 marks each)
- Section- B: 25 questions (9 marks each)
- JEST TCS will be conducted in both CBT and offline modes for 3 hours.
