About JNUEE 2023 Exam

Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE) has been discontinued. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted to conduct entrance exams for PhD programmes at JNU for the Academic Session 2023–2024. Jawaharlal Nehru University will not conduct JNUEE hereafter. Candidates seeking admission into PhD programmes must appear for the joint PhD exam conducted for DU, JNU, BHU and BBAU by the National Testing Agency. For the academic year 2023-24, the entrance exam has been conducted already.  Aspirants can check the information bulletin for further details.

For PG Program

Bachelor's degree in any discipline under the 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 50% marks.

For PhD Program

Master’s Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed. 

OR

Obtained two years MPhil. or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks of a recognized University/Institution or one year M.Phil. Degree with 55% with additional one year research experience of a recognized University/Institution and one publication and 55% marks or equivalent in Master’s Degree.

OR

Candidates seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.

JNUEE exam 2023 selected candidates go through viva voce via Computer Based Test (CBT), and the final JNUEE 2023 merit list gives CBT score 70% weightage and viva voce 30% weightage. Hi there, yes you can pursue MA in English without having studied English literature at graduation level. However, you should have studied English in school though. Yes, dear student, you can apply for M.A Political Science admission at JNU with a Bachelor’s degree in Science.
