About KTET 2025

The KTET June 2025 session has been rescheduled by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhawan. The Kerala TET 2025 exam, which was earlier scheduled for August 23 and 24, 2025, has now been postponed to September 18 and 19, 2025. The KTET admit card 2025 was released by the KTET examination authority on September 1, 2025. The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) exam is conducted twice a year by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan to assess the eligibility of students for teaching positions in Kerala. The two exam cycles are the KTET April Cycle (now June cycle) and the KTET November Cycle.

As per the KTET 2025 eligibility criteria, there is no age limit to appear for the KTET exam, and you can take it as many times as you want. However, you must meet the eligibility requirements to appear for the exam. The KTET exam is conducted to select teachers in the state of Kerala. There are separate tests for different categories. The categories are 1, 2, 3, and 4. Applicants can choose either of the four categories.

The KTET 2025 examination will be conducted in the pen-and-paper mode, or the offline mode. The total duration of the KTET examination is 150 minutes, and each paper will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions, for a total of 150 marks. Students will receive 1 mark for each correct answer. No negative marking will be done for incorrect answers.

KTET 2025 Selection Process

The students will be selected for the teaching position in Kerala state as per the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test which is an entrance examination held for the different categories of candidates. The students who will pass the KTET 2025 exam according to the cut-off marks presented by the authorities on the official website will be called for an interview session which is the second procedure for the selection under these types of government jobs. The students will also have to go through the document verification round which is the last stage of the selection procedure to be adopted by the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test.

KTET Application Process 2025

The KTET 2025 registrations have closed. The application process began on July 3, 2025, and the last date to submit the application form was July 15, 2025 (extended). The registration link was made available on the official website of the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan (KPB) @ktet.kerala.gov.in. Fill the online application form, upload the required documents, and pay the registration fee. Students can edit the already submitted application form using the KTET form correction 2025 link available on the homepage and make changes by July 15, 2025 (11.59 pm).

How to apply for KTET 2025?

  • To register for the KTET Exam 2025, the student should visit the main webpage of the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test and sign up using an email ID and password. The student needs to remember their password and registration ID.
  • After registering, the student can click on the link to access the application form. They should log in with their email ID and password on the dashboard to start the application.
  • Once the application is completed, the student should carefully preview it to ensure all information is correct. Then, the student can apply online.
  • The student must pay the exam fee as stated in the official notification. Finally, the student can download the completed application form as a PDF for future reference.

    Required Documents

    To fill out the KTET 2025 application form, you must provide a recent photograph, a photo identity, and a scanned signature.

    • Your photograph must be recent and taken within the last 6 months. It should have a white background. The photo size must be between 240 X 320 pixels (maximum) and 480 X 640 pixels (minimum). The file size should be between 50kb and 100kb.
    • Your signature must be scanned inside a rectangular box measuring 7 X 2. The scanned signature should be between 560 X 160 pixels (maximum) and 280 X 80 pixels (minimum). The file size for the signature should be between 20kb and 50kb.

    Application fees

    The application fee for unreserved category students is Rs. 500. For SC, ST, and PWD categories, the fee is Rs. 250. Paying the application fee for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test Exam 2025 is simple. Students can pay online using a Debit card, a Credit card, or Net Banking. After completing the payment, students should print the application form. This fee structure is common to all exams.

    KTET Eligibility Criteria 2025

    The Kerala State Education Board (KSEB) announces the official details about the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) 2025. Mentioned below is the KTET 2025 eligibility criteria for each category of the exam. Students can visit the official website for specific eligibility information.

    Age Requirement

    The minimum age to take the KTET Exam 2025 is 21. There is no maximum age limit, so anyone aged 21 or older can apply.

    Nationality/Citizenship

    Only Indian citizens can take the KTET 2025 exam.

    Qualifications

    Students must meet the qualifications listed in the official notification to fill out the application form. Each of the four categories has different requirements: 

    Category 1 (Primary Section)

    • Students need at least 45% in both the 10th and 12th grades and must have a trained teacher certificate (TTC) from the Government of Kerala or an equivalent.
    • Alternatively, students with a minimum of 45% in the 10th and 12th grades can have a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE.
    • Students may also qualify if they have at least 50% in the 10th and 12th grades and a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) degree.
    • Lastly, students with at least 50% in the 10th and 12th grades and a two-year diploma in special education can also apply.
    • Relaxation of marks: 5% for SC/ST/PwD students and 3% for OBC students.

    Category 2 (Upper Primary Section)

    • Students must have a BSc, BCom, or BA degree from a recognized university and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education/TTC.
    • Students who have a BSc, BCom, or BA degree with a minimum of 45% and one year of B.Ed as per NCTE are also eligible.
    • A minimum of 50% in the 12th grade and a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) degree from a recognized institution qualify.
    • Students with a minimum of 50% in the 12th grade and a four-year BA/B.Sc.Ed degree also qualifies.
    • Relaxation of marks: 5% for SC/ST/PwD students and 3% for OBC students.

    Category 3 (High School Section)

    • Students must have a BSc, BCom, or BA degree with at least 45% and a B.Ed in their subject area.
    • For students applying in Physics, Mathematics, Botany, and Zoology, a minimum of 50% in an MSc Ed degree from NCERT is required.
    • Students with 45% in a BA or equivalent degree and who have passed LTTC can also apply.
    • Relaxation of marks: 5% for SC/ST/PwD students and 3% for OBC students.

    Additional Qualifications

    Students with a diploma or degree in teaching approved by NCTE or the Government of Kerala are eligible. Students with degrees from open universities in Kerala can also apply.

    Category 4

    • Students meeting the qualifications in Chapter XXXI of the Kerala Education Act and Rules can apply for KTET 2025.
    • Relaxation of marks: 5% for SC/ST/PwD students and 3% for OBC students.

    KTET Exam Pattern 2025

    The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) 2025 will be held offline. Students will mark their answers on an OMR sheet.

    The KTET exam pattern is given as follows:

    The exam will include 150 multiple-choice questions, which must be completed in 150 minutes. Each question is worth 1 mark, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

    The questions are based on the SCERT Kerala syllabus. Keep in mind that the KTET exam syllabus varies for each of the four categories. This year, KTET will conduct separate tests for each category, which are outlined below.

    KTET Admit Card 2025

    The Kerala State Education Board (KSEB) will release the KTET Admit Card on its official website. Earlier, the admit card was expected to be released by 20th May 2025, but as per the latest update on their website, the KTET exam has now been postponed till further notice. Students must keep track of the official website for other latest notifications and updates. Students must download their admit cards before the exam, as entry without them is not permitted.

    The admit card will contain important information, including the exam date, test centre, candidate’s name, photograph, signature, roll number, address, and test schedule. Students can log in using their application number to download the admit card.

    After downloading, students should verify that all details are correct. If the admit card is not available on the website, students must contact the Board’s Office with a photocopy of their confirmation page for assistance.

    Students must also bring a photo ID to the exam centre. Acceptable forms of ID include an Aadhar card, Voter ID, PAN card, Passport, Driver’s license, Service ID, a mark sheet from 10th or 12th grade, or a graduation degree certificate.

    Eligible students can download their Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test 2025 Admit Cards by following these steps:

    1. Visit the official website of the Kerala State Education Board (KSEB).

    2. Click on the ‘KTET Admit Card 2025’ option at the bottom of the home page.

    3. Enter your registration ID/roll number and password.
