AP EDCET 2024 Syllabus (Download PDF)

AP EDCET syllabus is provided by the APSCHE on the official website along with the entrance exam notification. Knowing the AP EDCET syllabus is crucial as it gives a comprehensive idea about the list of major subjects that must be covered for preparation.

AP EDCET Syllabus 2024: Sections

APEdCET syllabus 2024 has three major sections. We have listed the three parts below -

Part A - General English

Part B - General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude

Part C - Methodology section. 

In Part C, aspirants have to select one among the subjects available. The options are Mathematics / Biological Sciences / Physical Sciences / Social Studies / English. 

Please note that Parts A and B are common for all aspirants irrespective of the Methodology they choose.

APEdCET 2024 Syllabus for Part A: General English

This section is to test the grip of the candidates in the English language. Here are the details regarding AP EDCET 2024 syllabus for Part B (General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude) -

  • Part B of the AP EDCET 2024 comprises General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude. This portion tests the general awareness of the candidates.
  • Questions asked in this section are designed in a manner that can test the candidates' knowledge of current events and matters that can be counted under everyday observation.
  • The main topics for General Knowledge include India and its neighbouring countries, History, Geography, Culture, Economics, Ecology, General Policy and Scientific Research etc.
  • The Teaching Aptitude section will assess traits like communication ability, ability to understand individual differences, analytical thinking, and general intelligence.

AP EDCET 2024 Exam Pattern

Apart from being acquainted with the APEdCET 2024 syllabus, candidates should know the AP EDCET 2024 exam pattern. Here is a quick overview of the exam pattern -

  • There are a total of 150 questions.
  • The exam duration is 2 hours.

  • Aspirants will get 4 options as probable answers for each question. Out of these, they have to select one.
  • They will get +1 for every correct attempt.

Apart from your rank, the AP EDCET cutoff for each college will also depend on several other factors such as your choice filling during counselling registration, seat availability, reservation policy, etc. With a rank of 1003, you can expect to get shortlisted for admission at various colleges such as St.  Thomas College of Education, Madina College of Education, Tarakaram B.Ed College, Balaji College of Education, etc.

Once the AP EDCET 2024 counselling process starts, you will have to register online and complete the choice filling and document verification on time for selection.
