About AP EDCET 2025 (Application Form Out)

AP EDCET 2025: The AP EDCET 2025 application form is available at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/EDCET. The last date to fill out the form without bearing any late fee is May 14. There is a provision to submit the form by June 3, 2025, by paying a late fine. Please note that the fine will vary per the schedule. Candidates are advised to check the official website to know more about the charges. 

Form correction can be done by the candidates between May 24 - May 28, 2025, while the hall tickets can be accessed from May 30, 2025, onwards. APSCHE will conduct AP EDCET 2025 on June 5, 2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm, to shortlist candidates for the 2-year B.Ed course at the participating colleges. The preliminary key will be released on June 10 and the AP EDCET 2025 result date is June 21, 2025.

The total duration of the entrance exam is 2 hours and will be held in online mode. It will have three parts. Part A will have General English, and Part B will include General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude. Part C will have a Methodology segment, which will consist of Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Social Studies, and English. Out of the subjects available for Part C, the exam takers will have to select one. 

Students who have completed their BA, B.Sc, BCA, B.Com, BBM, BE or B.Tech can apply for the AP EDCET examination. The minimum age limit to apply for AP EDCET is 19 years, and there is no maximum age bar to apply for it. The direct link to the AP EDCET 2025 application form is provided below.

Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test or AP EDCET, as it is popularly known, will be conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), Amravati.

AP EDCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who meet the AP EDCET 2025 eligibility criteria can appear for the examination. To be eligible for the exam, students have to meet the following requirements, nationality, academic qualification, age, etc. 

AP EDCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

Following are the national eligibility measures for AP EDCET 2025 aspiring students:

  • Candidates have to be Indian Nationals.
  • Must meet Local/Non-Local status criteria as stated in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions.

AP EDCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Academic Qualification

Below we have mentioned the academic qualifications to appear for AP EDCET 2025.

  • The students while submitting the AP EDCET 2025 Application form must have cleared or appeared for their final year BA/B.Sc/BBM/B.Com/BCA examination. 
  • At the time of admission candidates have to provide their pass certificate.
  • General category students must score at least 50% marks either in their Bachelorโ€™s degree and/or in their Masterโ€™s degree or in 5 years of a relevant integrated course. 
  • The Reserved category (SC/ST/BC/PwD) students must score a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination. 
  • BE/B.Tech candidates are also eligible to apply for AP EDCET 2025 provided they have studied Mathematics or Physics.

Students applying for AP EDCET 2025 must have completed 19 years of age as of July 1, 2025. The minimum age limit to apply for AP EDCET 2025 is 19 years while there is no upper age limit.

AP EDCET 2025 is a 2-hour duration exam comprising 150 multiple-choice questions. As per the AP EDCET 2025 exam pattern, there are four sections in the AP EDCET 2025 examination, namely General English, General Knowledge, Teaching Aptitude and Methodology divided into three parts.

AP EDCET 2025 Results

The conducting body will issue AP EDCET 2025 results on the official website, within a few weeks after the exam. Those who qualify the admission test will be eligible for the AP EDCET counselling process. Once the result link is activated, they have to enter the registration number and the hall ticket number. They also need to download the AP EDCET rank card by providing the required details.

To prepare the AP EDCET 2025 syllabus, you must refer to recently updated books from reputed publishers. Since you are pursuing the B.Tech course, you can cover the Physics topics from your course books as well as the NCERT books of classes 11 and 12. "Concepts of Physics" by H.C. Verma, "IIT JEE Physics" by D.C. Pandey, etc are some advanced level Physics books that cover more difficult questions.

You will have to refer to other books and newspapers to prepare for GK and Current Affairs. Practising the previous year question papers of AP EDCET will โ€ฆ

Apart from your rank, the AP EDCET cutoff for each college will also depend on several other factors such as your choice filling during counselling registration, seat availability, reservation policy, etc. With a rank of 1003, you can expect to get shortlisted for admission at various colleges such as St.  Thomas College of Education, Madina College of Education, Tarakaram B.Ed College, Balaji College of Education, etc.

Once the AP EDCET 2024 counselling process starts, you will have to register online and complete the choice filling and document verification on time for selection.
