The students will be selected for the teaching position in Kerala state as per the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test which is an entrance examination held for the different categories of candidates. The students will have to qualify as per the cut off marks prepared by the concerned authorities of the Kerala Teachers Eligibility Test. The cut off marks will be different for general and other categories of the candidates. The general candidates must have obtained 60% marks which is 90 marks out of 150 total marks of the exams and the other candidates belonging to economically backward castes and categories must have scored 55% marks. The KTET exam is conducted by Kerala State Education Board (KSEB). The exam is held as per the guidelines set by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). The exam is managed by the Pariksha Bhavan and is regulated by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
