NIFT Counselling Process 2024: Choice Filling Guidelines

At the time of choice filling during the NIFT 2024 counselling process, students must keep the following things in mind:

  • Student's preferences will only be taken into account for the campus and programmes that they have filled out. If a candidate fails to pick a campus or course on the preference list, they will not be considered for admission there, even if those campuses have open seats. Even if the student meets additional requirements from the merit list, this is still the case.

  • If you are eligible, check and complete your preferences for academic programmes on your domicile campus.

  • Do not select a campus or programme that you are unwilling to enrol in.

  • Wait until you are certain of your selections and preference order before locking in your preferences. Make sure you lock down your selection before the deadline, though. Once the deadline passes, they will automatically lock.

  • Avoid waiting until the last minute to submit your selections. There shall not be a postponement.

  • If you are qualified for the Kashmiri migrant quota, submit your option at NIFT Srinagar.
