OPSC CSE Eligibility Criteria 2023: The official notification released by OPSC for the Odisha Civil Services Examination 2023 also includes the eligibility criteria. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility norms specified by OPSC for Group A/B services are allowed to apply and appear for the recruitment exam. OPSC CSE Eligibility 2023 - Nationality and Age Limit

The detailed eligibility criteria for OPSC Civil Services Examination 2023 can be checked below:

Nationality: Candidates who are applying for OPSC CSE 2023 must be a citizen of India.

Age Criteria/ Age Limit: The minimum and upper age limit to appear for the Odisha Civil Services Examination 2023 is as follows:

  • The minimum age limit to appear for the exam for all categories is 21 years.
  • Candidates belonging to the General category must note that the upper or maximum age limit to appear for the exam is 32 years.
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ST/BC/Women must note that the upper age limit for these categories is 37 years.
  • Only the Date of Birth available in the High School or Class 10th Certificate shall be considered.

OPSC CSE Eligibility Criteria 2023 - Educational Qualification

Educational Qualification: The educational qualification required to appear for Odisha Civil Services Examination 2023 is as follows:

  • The candidates must have passed a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university.
  • The candidates should be able to read, speak and write Odia.
  • The candidates must have passed Class 10th or 12th with Odia as one of the subjects.
  • Candidates who have passed Class 10th or 12th with Odia as the medium of instruction are also eligible to apply for the recruitment exam.

Number of Attempts in OPSC Civil Services Examination 2023

Number of Attempts: According to OPSC, there is a cap on the number of attempts for the Odisha Civil Services Examination 2023. The details are as follows:

  • Candidates belonging to General Category must note that they are eligible for only four attempts.
  • Candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes should note that they are eligible for seven attempts. An appearance in the Prelims exam is also termed as an attempt.
  • There is no cap/limit on the number of attempts for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD
