Registration for PESSAT 2025 started on July 29, 2024. You can now get an application link on the portal, pessat.com, as it is live. The deadline to register will be declared soon.

PESSAT 2025 Overview

Starting from 2025, PES University is discontinuing the PESSAT exam for BTech admission. Instead, the entrance for BTech courses would be based on JEE Main and KCET scores. For those interested, registration for the 2025 session is open. PESSAT 2025 or PES University Entrance Test 2025 is being conducted from January to July 2025 for Law Programs, MBA, M.Tech, and B.Des. You can fill up the PESSAT 2025 application form on the university website: admissions.pes.edu. You can register for B.Tech 2025 till June 2025 and submit the original documents till July 2025. B.Arch 2025 registrations started on October 3, 2024, and last date to upload NATA and 12th std / 2nd PU scores on PESU Portal is in May 2025. For all other programmes, online registrations for admissions 2025 commenced on October 3, 2024, and will close in July 2025. The results for non-professional courses will be released 3 days after taking the test. 

The new admission policy will include the distribution of 40% BTech seats through the KCET counselling process, which is administered by the Karnataka Examinations Authority. A further 45% of the seats will be filled up based on the JEE Main or KCET score. The remaining 15% of the seats will be available in the management quota. If you are planning to join the BTech program at PES University, make sure to prepare for either the JEE Main or KCET exams, as no other admission routes will be available from 2025 onward.

What is PESSAT?

PESSAT or PES Scholastic Aptitude Test is a university-level entrance exam that is conducted to grant admission to BTech, BArch, and various other programmes offered by PES University, Bengaluru. It is administrated for candidates looking to take admission to BTech, BBA, BCom, BBA LLB, BA LLB, BSc, BDes, BPharm, BSc in Nursing, BPharm, MBA, MCA, Pharm D, MPharm, MCom, and MTech programmes.

Through this university-level examination, candidates can get admission into PES University's undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Design (B.Design), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), BBA in Hotel and Event Management, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA). However, it has been discontinued now and admission to BTech courses at PES University from 2025 session will be based on JEE Main and KCET.

PESSAT 2025 Conducting Body

PESSAT 2025 is conducted by PES University. It was established in 1972 in Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India. It was originally named the PES Institute of Technology (PESIT), but it is renamed in the year 2013. PES focused on four major areas of education, including Medicine, Engineering, Management and Life Sciences. At PES, students had the option of both foundation courses in these areas, as well as specialisation with a Bachelor/ Master/PhD degree. PESSAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Before completing the application form for PESSAT 2025, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility requirements. Candidates who do not meet the eligibility requirements will not be admitted by the university. The following are the general PESAAT 2025 eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates must have 50% aggregate marks on the 10+2 or equivalent in Science from a recognised board.

  • Students must have taken subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biotechnology, Computer Science, and so on.

  • Applicants should have taken entrance examinations such as MAT, CAT, GRE, PGCET, GMAT, CAT, and more.

  • There is no age limit for individuals applying for courses.

PESSAT 2025 Application Form

Only those applying online will be able to complete the PESSAT 2025 application form. There would not be any other way to submit the form in an offline mode. Applicants will need to provide basic information, including personal and qualification data.

How to Fill out the PESSAT 2025 Application Form?

The following pointers are steps to fill out the PESSAT 2025 application form:

  • Visit the official website of the PES university.

  • Click on the โ€œRegistration" link given provided.

  • Fill out the required details mentioned on the application form.

  • Click on the submit button to complete the registration process.

  • After the registration is done, fill in the detailed application form.

  • Upload scanned documents as prescribed in the form.

  • Pay the application fee and submit the form.

  • Take a printout and keep it safe for future reference.

PESSAT Slot Booking 2025

PES University will commence the PESSAT 2025 slot booking in April 2025 for all applicants i.e., students who want to take the exam at Bangalore-based centres and also for candidates registering from outside Bengaluru. Each candidate who registers for the PESSAT exam 2025 is required to choose a time slot to sit for the test. An applicant cannot show up for the exam before reserving a slot. Students will receive their PESSAT 2025 admit cards after successfully booking a slot.

Process of Slot Booking for PESSAT 2025

  • Open the PES University official website.

  • Then, click on the "Registered Candidate Login" link given there.

  • Login using the credentials such as the application number and password.

  • Now, open the PESSAT 2025 slot booking link.

  • Select the city, exam date and time.

  • Click on the "Confirm" button.

  • Download the confirmation page for slot booking for future reference.

PESSAT Admit Card 2025

PESSAT admit card 2025 will be received only after successfully booking a slot. The exam date and time, the exam location, the candidate's basic information, including their roll number, name, photo, and signature, as well as information about their parents, will all be listed on the PESSAT 2025 admit card. No candidate will be permitted to appear in the paper without a PESSAT 2025 admit card, so it is necessary to bring the admit card to the exam centre on the exam day.

PESSAT 2025 Result

The BTech PESSAT results 2024 were declared on May 16, 2024 (Over), on the official website of PES University. Candidates can view their results online at the PES University website after logging in with their application number/ID and password. The PESSAT scorecard will include data on the subject-wise scores received in the examination and the All India Rank of an applicant. Those deemed qualified might apply to be admitted to the university. Students are selected for admission to BTech programmes depending on their PESSAT score 2024.

PESSAT 2024 Counselling Process

The PESSAT counselling will be conducted by PES University over two sessions. After the results were announced, the first round of PESSAT counselling was held between May 25 and May 26, 2024. On the other hand, the second round of PESSAT 2024 counselling for BTech held on September 1, 2024. For their counselling presentation & seat selection, however, students must report in person at the PES University (Ring Road Campus) between 8:15 AM and 04:15 PM based on their rankings. All qualified candidates must register online for the entire PESSAT 2024 counselling process, which will take place entirely online.

PESSAT 2025 Admission Process

PES University selects candidates through the PESSAT entrance exam. As discussed, candidates will have to fill out the PESSAT 2025 application form and appear in the entrance exam subsequently. The step-by-step PESSAT admission process 2025 can be checked below. 

Step 1: Registration process

Candidates can register for PESSAT 2025 by filling out an application form online. The student will need to register as a new user and then they will get their login IDs on successful registration. 

Step 2: Slot Booking

The candidates will have to book a slot for the exam after submission of the application form. Admit cards will then be issued to them upon booking the slot. Applicants must download their admit card to appear for the PESSAT 2025 exam. 

Step 3: PESSAT 2025 Exam Centres

PESSAT 2025 will be conducted at the Bangalore campus for all courses except for the B Tech programme. The BTech exam will take place at 44 test centres across the country.

Step 4: Counselling/ Interview

Students will be called for counselling and interviews after passing PESSAT. The seats will then be allocated based on their scores. A merit list will be released by PES University which will contain ranks and schedules for the same. Furthermore, the commencement of classes/activities or academic sessions will be held starting in early September.

PESSAT 2025 Exam Centres

As discussed, the PESSAT 2025 exam will be organised by PES University at 55 test centres across 19 Indian states. Applicants should specify their preference for a particular centre when filling out the application form for PESSAT. Students need to know that PES University maintains the authority to cancel any PESSAT 2025 exam centre at any moment. If such a case happens or if a test centre is cancelled, candidates will automatically be assigned an alternative test centre among the rest two centres they marked in the application form while they registered for the exam. PESSAT 2025 Scholarships

There are different kinds of scholarships offered by PES University to students based on their academic performance as well as assistance in different fields. One can check the details about the PES University scholarship as mentioned below.

  • MRD Scholarships: If a student obtains rank in the top 20% of his/her class (section) in terms of CGPA for a particular academic year, then they will get a 40% relaxation in the tuition fee for the next academic year that will be executed on a semester basis.

  • Distinction Awards: For scoring a CGPA of 7.5 and above for a particular year, candidates will receive cash prize money as a distinction award. 

  • Corporate Scholarships: Many corporate organisations offer scholarships for the students of PES University in the final year based on merit.

  • Rural Scholarship: A selected number of students coming from a rural background are offered free engineering education by PES University every year.

  • Scholarship for Teaching: Students who assist their professors in teaching, those students are also compensated for their work.

The PESSAT (People & Education Society Scholastic Admission Test) exam has been discontinued from the academic year 2025, for admission. If you want to take admission to B.Tech Lateral Entry in Electronics and Communication, you will have to qualify the Karnataka DCET entrance exam with at least 60% marks, and participate in the counselling process, as per the information given on the institute website. To register for B.Tech (Diploma Lateral Entry) at PES University, you must apply at https://admissions.pes.edu/. Please note that both Karnataka and non-Karnataka diploma students can apply for PESU Merit quota admission here.
