Last year, Annamalai University administered this examination. From 2016 to 2018, the TN SET exam was conducted annually by Mother Teresa University. However, the university faced backlash due to allegations of seat confirmation through bribery. Consequently, the TN SET exam wasn't conducted in 2018. This year, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University released the TN SET application form on behalf of the State Government of Tamil Nadu for 2025.
TN SET 2025 covers 55 subjects and General Studies, with exam centers spread across the state.
