TS LAWCET 2024 Exam Pattern

The TS LAWCET exam pattern 2024 is provided by the TSCHE. The TS LAWCET exam pattern specifies the segments of the entrance test, total marks, marking scheme, etc information.

The entrance test is conducted for admission into 3-year and 5-year law courses. TS LAWCET has 120 multiple-choice questions in three different subjects with four answer options given for each question. For 5-Year LLB, the questions will be of Intermediate Level and for 3-Year LLB it will be of Degree level.

TS LAWCET 2024 Exam Pattern Highlights

  • The TS LAWCET 2024 is a computer-based examination and each candidate is advised to practice through the Online Test Series to keep up with the pace of the examination.

  • The candidates are evaluated based on General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs and Aptitude for the study of Law.

  • The exam will be conducted for 90 minutes and candidates will not be given extra time to answer the questions.

  • PwD and SAP candidates will be allotted extra time of 20 minutes to complete the examination. 

  • TS LAWCET has no sectional time limit. Candidates can attempt questions from each section as per their will.

  • Candidates will have to mark the most appropriate answer in TS LAWCET 2024. Also, the exam will contain one essay-type question where the candidate has to write a descriptive answer.

  • TS LAWCET will be administered in Telugu and English medium.

  • This year, the candidates will be able to attempt the questions in Urdu as well.

TS LAWCET 2024 Marking Scheme

Mentioned below are the pointers that clearly explain the marking scheme of TS LAWCET 2024.

  • The TS LAWCET 2024 comes with 120 questions with each question carrying one mark each.
  • Each correct answer will be awarded one mark.
  • TS LAWCET 2024 has no negative marking.
  • The unattempted questions will have no penalty of marks.
  • If a candidate marks two answers to a question, the answer will be considered as incorrect.

TS LAWCET 2024 Guidelines

Enlisted below are the essential guidelines that a candidate preparing for the TS LAWCET exam must check out -

  • To qualify the entrance exam, the candidate must score 35% marks.

  • The minimum passing mark for an aspirant is 42 out of 120.

  • The candidates falling under the reserved categories namely SC and ST have no boundary of the minimum marks. 

  • If more than one candidate attains the same score the emphasis will be placed on the “Aptitude for the Study of Law”, i.e. Part C of the exam. If the tie still persists, marks for Part B, i.e. “Current Affairs” section will be considered. In case the tie continues, the candidate with a higher age will be preferred over the younger candidate.

  • The duration of the exam is 90 minutes, however, an extra 20 minutes will be allotted to complete the examination for PwD and SAP candidates.

  • The exam has no sectional time limit.
