TS LAWCET 2024 Eligibility

TS LAWCET eligibility criteria 2024 was issued by the TSCHE along with the said entrance test. The TS LAWCET 2024 eligibility criteria are different for the offered courses, 3-Year LLB and 5-Year LLB. Aspirants must check out the particulars from the official website. Those who meet the criteria can apply for TS LAWCET 2024.

In case the applicant is found ineligible after applying, the conducting authority will cancel the application. TS LAWCET is organised to grant admission to the 3-Year and 5-Year Law courses for the academic year 2024-2025 at the participating colleges.

TS LAWCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria for 5 Year LL.B

  • The candidate must have cleared a two-year Intermediate course (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent as recognised by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana.

  • The candidate must have obtained not less than 45% marks in aggregate in the 10+2 examination.

  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 through open schooling without having any basic qualification will not be considered eligible for admission to the available law courses.

  • Relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination shall be offered to candidates belonging to the SC / ST category.

  • The candidate must have scored passing marks in all the subjects of class 12th.

  • Students from all streams can apply for these programmes.

  • The candidate must have cleared the 10+2 level or its equivalent as recognised by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana.

  • He / she must have obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate in the 10+2 examination.

  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 through open schooling without having any basic qualification will not be considered eligible for admission to the available law courses.

  • Relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination shall be offered to candidates belonging to the SC / ST category.

  • The candidate must have scored passing marks in all the subjects of class 12th.

  • It is mandatory for the applicant to have completed class 12th in the science stream with PCM/B as compulsory subjects.

  • The candidate must have obtained any graduate degree in the 10+2+3 pattern from a recognised university. 
  • The university from which the candidate secures his/ her UG degree must be approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
  • The applicant must have obtained not less than 45% marks in aggregate in graduation.
  • Candidates who have cleared any other examination recognised as equivalent by the conducting body are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates who have obtained less than 45% in graduation must have passed any additional graduation or post-graduation with 45% marks in aggregate.
  • Those who have passed 10+2 or graduation/ post-graduation through open schooling without having any basic qualification will not be considered eligible for admission into the available law courses.
  • Relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination shall be offered to candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

3-year Bachelor of Law (LLB) TS LAWCET 2024 Important Details

  • A percentage of 44.5 per cent or higher in aggregate in graduation (10+2+3 Pattern) for general categories, 41.5 percent or higher in aggregate in graduation for the OBC category, and 39.5 percent or higher for SC/ST category candidates will be recognized as 45 percent, 42 percent, and 40 percent of aggregate marks for admission into 3-year LLB course, respectively.
  • Applicants who passed the degree examination in a single sitting without completing a three-year course, whether conventional, private, or distance, are not qualified.
  • Those who have completed the qualifying degree through Open University directly are not suitable for the TS LAWCET 2024 application.
  • If a candidate received less than 45 percent, 42 percent, or 40 percent in graduation, he should have obtained the same percentage or more on the aggregate in any Post Graduation or B.Ed.
  • OBC applicants applying for the TS LAWCET 2024 must provide their OBC certificate issued by the appropriate authority to support 42 percent of their aggregate marks in graduation.

5-Year Bachelor of Law (LLB) TS LAWCET 2024 Important Details

  • In the case of candidates from general categories, a percentage of 44.5 percent or more in aggregate in Intermediate (10+2 Pattern) will be considered as 45 percent for admission into a 5-year LLB course.
  • For OBC candidates, 41.5% aggregate in 10 + 2 will be counted as 42% and 39.5% for SC/ST as 40% respectively.

Domicile Eligibility Details for TS LAWCET 2024

The candidate must be an India national and also a residence of Telangana state. Besides this, he / she must also satisfy the Local / Unreserved status requirement as prescribed by the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 and the amendments made thereto from time to time.

Age Limit Eligibility Details for TS LAWCET 2024

As per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, no age-related boundations needs to be set for both 5 years and 3 years long LLB. The conducting body of the exam has also not introduced any upper age limit for the applicants.

Who is Not Eligible to Apply for TS LAWCET 2024?

Candidates who have passed their 10+2 or post-graduation/ graduation exam from any open university directly and without any basic qualification are not eligible for TS LAWCET 2024.

TS LAWCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria For Admission

Candidates must fulfill the below mentioned qualifying conditions for TS LAWET 2024.

  • They need to participate in the entrance examination and obtain at least a 35% score. 
  • There is no minimum mark criterion for SC and ST candidates for ranking.
  • The participants need to attend the counselling session following the guidelines provided by the examination authority.
  • During the TS LAWCET counselling, they have to select their preferred participating law colleges and obtain a spot on the admissions list of the chosen law school.
  • Merely cracking the entrance exam does not entitle applicants to admission to the LLB degree programmes.
  • Candidates must come for counselling at the designated locations.
  • They must have applied in response to the admission notice issued by the TSCHE (and Osmania University).
  • They must meet all of the admission eligibility standards established by the administration at the time of Admission Notification/Counselling.
  • In addition, the candidates must meet the merit and legislative reservations, as applicable.
