About TG SET 2025 Exam

The Telangana State Eligibility Test (TG SET), earlier referred to as TS SET, is a state-level eligibility examination conducted annually by Osmania University, Hyderabad, on behalf of the Telangana State Government. The most recent TG SET exam 2025 was conducted on 22, 23, and 24 December 2025 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Following its conclusion, Osmania University released the provisional TG SET 2025 answer key, master question paper, and response sheet PDF on the official websites. Candidates who appeared in the exam can use the answer key to calculate their indicative scores and were given the opportunity to raise objections during the challenge window.
The TG SET 2025 exam pattern consists of two papers- Paper I (General Teaching and Research Aptitude, common for all candidates) and Paper II (subject-specific, based on the candidate's postgraduate specialisation). Both papers are conducted in a single session of three hours in objective (MCQ) format. Paper I is bilingual (English and Telugu), and Paper II of certain subjects is also bilingual. TG SET 2025 Cut Off

The TG SET 2025 cutoff represents the minimum qualifying marks that candidates must secure to be considered eligible for Assistant Professor and Lecturer positions in Telangana. As per the official TG SET criteria, candidates must secure the following minimum aggregate marks across both Paper I and Paper II combined:
General (Unreserved) category candidates must secure at least 40% aggregate marks in both papers taken together.
All reserved category candidates- SC, ST, BC, PwD, and Transgender- must secure at least 35% aggregate marks in both papers taken together.
However, meeting the minimum qualifying marks alone does not guarantee qualification. The actual cutoff in each subject and category is determined by the number of slots available, which is equal to 6% of the candidates who appeared in both papers, allocated category-wise as per the Telangana State Government's reservation policy. The aggregate percentage corresponding to the number of slots in each subject and category determines the final qualifying cutoff for that combination.
The official TG SET 2025 cutoff marks will be published on telanganaset.org after the result is declared.

Dear Student,

As per the TS SET 2024 qualifying cutoff requirements, you need to score 35% in both papers taken together. For reserved category students, the qualifying cutoff is 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together. Additionally, TS SET only offers qualification status to 6% of the students who appear for the TS SET exam, and as per the slot allocation reservation policy, only 7% of the BC-D category students will be allocated slots for the Assistant Professor eligibility status. Therefore, you must score more than the minimum qualifying marks in order to be eligible for Assistant Professor …
