TS SET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The updated TS SET 2024 eligibility criteria will be announced by the exam conducting body on the official website, telanganaset.org. The general eligibility standards and directives are established by Osmania University on behalf of the Telangana government. Osmania University imposes stringent regulations and guidelines for eligibility in the TS SET 2024 examination. Candidates who are planning to appear in TS SET 2024 exam are informed that there is no upper age limit set to apply for the TS SET exam 2024.

TS SET 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

Here are the updated eligibility requirements for the TS SET 2024 exam:

  • Candidates must hold a master’s degree in disciplines such as M.A., M.Com, M.Sc., MBA, M.Ed., MLISC, M.PEd., LLM, MCJ, MCA, and M.Tech from ALU or any other government-recognized institution.
  • Only students with master’s level degrees in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Information Technology (IT) are eligible to apply.
  • A minimum aggregate of 55% in the qualifying master’s degree is required (without rounding off), except for SC/ST/OBC/PwD, and transgender category students who require 50%.
  • Candidates in their final year of master’s degree or awaiting final exam results can also apply. However, they must submit their mark sheet within two years from the declaration of the SET result, with a minimum aggregate of 55% (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD, transgender). Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
  • Candidates with a PhD degree and those who completed their master’s degree before September 19, 1991 (irrespective of result date) are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum aggregate required (50%).
  • Candidates must select subjects that they have studied in their qualifying exams.
