TS SET 2024 eligibility criteria have been prescribed by Osmania University on behalf of the Government of Telangana. The eligible degrees are M.A., M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MLISC, M.Ed., M.PEd., MCJ, LLM, MCA, and M.Tech (CSE & IT only).   • BC/ SC/ ST/ PwD Candidates: Individuals must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in their Master’s Degree, without rounding off the percentage.
  • Final Year Students: Students in their final year of a master’s degree program or awaiting final exam results are eligible to apply. However, they must submit their mark sheet within two years from the declaration of the SET result, with a minimum aggregate of 55% (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD, transgender). Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
  • Transgender Candidates: Third-gender (transgender) candidates will receive the same fee, age, and qualifying criteria relaxations as those available to SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  • Ph.D. Degree Holders: Candidates with a PhD degree and those who completed their master’s degree before September 19, 1991 (irrespective of result date) are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum aggregate required (50%).
  • Candidates must choose subjects that they have studied in their qualifying exams.

As per the TS SET 2024 qualifying cutoff requirements, you need to score 35% in both papers taken together. For reserved category students, the qualifying cutoff is 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together. Additionally, TS SET only offers qualification status to 6% of the students who appear for the TS SET exam, and as per the slot allocation reservation policy, only 7% of the BC-D category students will be allocated slots for the Assistant Professor eligibility status.
