UPSC CMS Eligibility Criteria 2025

UPSC CMS Eligibility Criteria 2025 is regulated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. According to the UPSC CMS 2025 Eligibility Criteria, the citizens of India, Tibet, Bhutan, and Nepal can appear for the UPSC CMS Exam 2025. The minimum educational qualification required to appear for the UPSC CMS Exam 2024 is to pass MBBS or undergraduate degree in relevant medical studies. Applicants must have 55% marks in aggregate in their undergraduate degree in order to appear for the test. The maximum age to appear for the UPSC CMS Exam is 32 years

Before appearing for the UPSC CMS 2025 Registration process, candidates must go through the UPSC CMS Syllabus 2025 and UPSC CMS Exam Pattern in order to ace the exam. Applicants must note that all candidates interested to appear for the UPSC CMS 2025 have to satisfy all the academic and personal requirements laid down by the conducting authority. If a candidate has been issued the UPSC CMS 2025 Admit Card, that does not imply that his/her candidature has received a NOC from the Commission.

  • All candidates who are Indian Citizens are eligible to appear for the examination. 
  • All candidates who are subjects of Nepal or Bhutan are eligible to apply for the examination. 
  • All candidates who have come to India and settled down here from Tibet before 1st January, 1962, are eligible to appear for the examination. 
  • All candidates who are of Indian Origin and have migrated to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African Countries, and settled down here are eligible to apply for the examination. 
  • All candidates who are not Indian Citizens must produce their eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India at the time of application process.

Note:

  • Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
  • A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

UPSC CMS Eligibility Criteria 2025: Age Limit and Relaxation

To begin with, candidates must be below 32 years of age as on 1st August, 2025 to qualify for the examination, and applicants who are born before 2nd August, 1962 are not eligible to appear for the examination.

  • All candidates who have successfully cleared their MBBS written and practical exams are eligible to appear for the UPSC CMS 2025 examination. 
  • All candidates in the final year of their MBBS programme are also eligible to appear for the examination. 
  • All candidates who have cleared their MBBS final programme but are yet to receive their final degree are also eligible to appear for the examination, however, subject to cancellation in case they fail to produce proof of having passed the MBBS programme.
  • All candidates are required to comply with all eligibility criteria as mentioned above in order to increase their chances of admission in their desired institutions through UPSC CMS 2025.
  • A candidate who has yet to complete the compulsory rotating internship is educationally eligible for admission to the examination but on selection Process, he/she will be appointed only after he/she has completed the compulsory rotating internship.
