VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) does not release the official cut-off. However, the data received by the candidates who appeared for the examination in previous years are used to determine the expected VITEEE 2024 cut-off. The cut-off is released to check the eligibility of the candidates for admission in the B.Tech/ B.E. programs offered at VIT. All the candidates who are willing to take admission into various engineering programmes offered by the University will have to meet the cut-off. 

VIT University will not announce any cut-off marks for any programme. It will only issue the stream-wise and campus-wise closing ranks. Candidates who are at the top of the merit list (1 to 20,000) will be called to participate in the VITEEE  counselling process. Those candidates who rank lower than the closing rank of a particular category will not be considered for admission. Therefore, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in VITEEE 2024 in order to become eligible for the VITEEE 2024 Counselling Process.

Various factors considered while determining the VITEEE cut-off include the difficulty level of the examination, the number of candidates who appear in the examination, and the total number of seats available. For now, candidates may go through previous years' cut-off ranks to get an idea about the previous trends. Through the VITEEE cut-offs of previous years, the candidates will get a fair idea of what score they would need in order to qualify for the entrance examination.

Factors that Determine VITEEE Cutoff 2024

VITEEE Counselling 2024

Candidates with a valid rank in the VITEEE 2024 exam will have to participate in the VITEEE counselling process 2024 for securing admission into the VITEEE campuses. To be registered for the VITEEE counselling process, the candidates will have to first check their VIT 2024 rank. And further pay the counselling fee online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. The choice of courses and campus have to be selected in the order of preference by the candidates during the VITEEE choice filling 2024. Allotment of seats will be done based upon the candidate's rank, preferences and seat availability at the campuses. After the VITEEE seat allotment, the candidates will have to confirm their admission by paying the required fee and verifying their admissions.

How is the VITEEE 2024 Cutoff Calculated?

• An equating method is used to calculate the rank of the candidates secured in the VITEEE 2024 exam.
• VITEEE cutoff is based upon the percentile method which signifies that the candidates getting  equal percentile in the different test forms are going to be considered at the same rank.
• The score secured in different slots with the same percentile is going to be considered to be the same.
• Candidates need to note that the VITEEE cutoff is not going to apply to the requirement of qualifying marks which they require to be able to clear the VITEEE 2024 entrance exam.
• The VIT university appoints a panel which decides the admission and counselling of the candidates. It is a panel of experts who decide the VITEEE cutoff based upon the number of applications received, the number of candidates who appeared for the exam and the number of seats which are going to be available for each course and the average performance of the candidates in the VITEEE 2024 entrance exam.
