The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts the West Bengal Joint Entrance Lateral Engineering Test (WB JELET) every year to grant qualified applicants admission into the second year (third semester) of bachelor's degree programmes in engineering, technology, or pharmacy at West Bengal's various government and private colleges. The WB JELET 2025 exam is expected to be conducted in June 2025, applicants should start filling out the registration form in February and submit the forms before the last date. Only the candidates who have submitted the form with the right process will be granted the admit card to appear for the exam. 

The application fees for the exam is Rs 500 and have to be submitted at the end of the form filling. The WB JELET exam will be conducted for 2 hours in offline (pen&paper) based mode once a year.   • There is no upper age limit for Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy Diploma holders
  • The upper age limit for B.Sc aspirants is 27 years (as of 31st December of the examination year)
  • The upper age limit for Marine Engineering Diploma holders is 25 years (as of 31st December of examination year)

Educational Qualification for Diploma Holders

  • Candidates must have a diploma in the relevant discipline with at least 45% (40% for reserved category) or equivalent CGPA from an AICTE recognised institute or university
  • Candidates for admission to Jadavpur University must have a 60% aggregate (45% for reserved category) or comparable CGPA in the relevant branch from an AICTE-approved institute or university

Educational Qualification for BSc Holders

  • Candidates must have a BSc from a recognised institute with a 45% aggregate (40% for reserved candidates)
  • Candidates must have finished Class 12 and have a major in mathematics.
  • If candidates are admitted, they must pass Engineering Mechanics and Engineering Graphics/Drawing, in addition to the second-year topics
  • Candidates with a BSc are not eligible for admission to the Pharmacy programme
  • Candidates with a BSc degree are also ineligible for admission to Jadavpur University

The candidate will receive one mark for each correct answer in the WB JELET 2025 exam. For each incorrect answer, one-quarter of a point will be deducted in the WB JELET 2025 exam.
