GMCET Counselling Process 2025

GMCET 2025 counselling process is important for candidates who have qualified for the GMCET 2025 exam. It is used to assign seats to qualified candidates in the various participating institutes. The GMCET 2025 counselling process will begin with the release of the GMCET 2025 admission form. The GMCET 2025 counselling process is completely online. 

To begin the GMCET/AIMCET 2025 counselling process, qualified candidates must complete the admission form on the portal following the release of the GMCET 2025 results. Candidates must list their preferred institutes and courses in order of preference on the admission form. They must upload the necessary documents for verification, such as mark sheets, certificates, and identity proof. Candidates must also pay the fee within the time frame specified in order to confirm admission or advance to the next round of the admission process. 

The conducting authority (GMEC) will publish several admission lists based on the candidate's scores and preferences. These lists will include the initial and final rankings. Candidates offered a seat on these lists will have options. 

Note: The Global Media Education Council (GMEC) will only release the second or third admission list if the seats remain vacant.

GMCET 2025 Admission Process

Candidates applying for GMCET 2025 and seeking admission to undergraduate courses in Journalism and Mass Communications must follow the steps outlined below:

  • A candidate's score in the GMCET 2025 exam will determine whether they are called for an interview. Candidates who advance to the interview round will then participate in counselling.
  • Selected candidates will then have to attend counselling sessions at the universities to which they have applied for admission. Following that, they must complete the admission formalities and pay the course fee.

GMCET 2025 Counselling Procedure

The GMCET Counselling procedure is outlined below:

  • Registration: On the official website following the announcement of the AIMCET results, candidates must register for counselling.
  • Choice Filling: Candidates must select their desired courses and colleges after registering, taking into account their eligibility and rank.
  • Seat Allotment: Seats will be allocated based on merit, preference, and availability. This usually occurs in several rounds.
  • Document Verification: Once seats have been assigned, candidates must verify their documents at designated centres.
  • Reporting to Colleges: Following verification, candidates must report to their designated colleges to complete the admissions process.
  • Subsequent Rounds: If candidates want to change their assigned seats, or if there are any open seats, there may be additional rounds of counselling.

List of Documents Required in GMCET 2025 Counselling

The candidates are required to carry the following documents in original along with photocopies at the time of GMCET counselling 2025:

  • 10th class mark sheet and passing certificate
  • 12th or HSC mark sheet
  • Qualifying degree certificate (mark sheets of all semesters)
  • National certificate for candidates belonging to general category
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • PwD certificate (if applicable)
  • GMCET Scorecard and admit card
